Solutions desired: 1. I want a refund for $543.32 of charges for services that were not necessary. plus an additional $200 for having to invest my personal time on this issue. 2. I want the Northland KIA ******* Writers to stop pushing service recommendations on me that my car does not need according to the manual or be shown the **** for the recommendations. Background: My car is 5 years old and I have taken it in to a KIA ******* provider for every regular service necessary since I bought it new. I made an appointment at Northland KIA for May 2/24 for a regular "******* 1" (oil change) and tire swap. The crank case flush was added, as well as other flushes (transmission, coolant, etc.) and services (alignment & balance, etc.) that I did not ask for for which I had to debate with the ******* Writer in order to defer. Looking back at my 3 previous services at Northland KIA, they did the same thing - added a crank case flush in my 2023 April "******* 1" as well as a second brake flush was done less than 5000 km after my 2023 *************** brake flush. Northland KIA service people need to stop recommending services to me that are not required, at first I thought this was a mistake on their part, but it seems more and more to me that this is a business practice. I am supposed to be able to trust this team with my car. All I do is get harassed with flush upsales and I am being taken advantage of. I want $732.32 = refund of $543.32 plus the $200 for my time, and a written apology. I have called the business over 8 times and left messages, and filled out forms with details for the ******* Manager and General Manager. I received one call back over the last 8 weeks, and just to tell me to wait until the ** looks at my situation. It has been at least 10 days now. I am not going away.

I had my KIA ******** in (7:45am) for the scheduled Service 4 routine service plus replacing a new battery. Upon the completed inspection and service, the mechanic recommended to reseal the car's timing cover and oil pan which I approved. The total bill is over $3600. When Northland Kia notified me to pick up the car after 5 pm and I went there and paid, the mechanic was gone. When I started the car, the car shudder/vibrate while idling, the warmer the car the more pronounced the vibration. I also noticed the reservoirs for both engine coolant and windshield wiper were at the low ***** I wondered whether the mechanic did his job at inspection and topping the reservoirs. I brought the car back 2 days later and ***** the service manager recommended to run the car through the highway and maybe it will clean up the suspected gunk causing the vibration. It did not work after using half a tank of gas. Northland Kia had to order some cleaning parts and I had to bring the car back a third time in at 8 am. Northland Kia called at 11:10 am and said cylinder 1 of my car engine misfired causing the vibration and asking my approval to replace the injector for cylinder 1 waiving the labour cost but charged me $110 on a remanufactured injector essentially holding me hostage. I ended paying and picking the car up the next day at 3:30 pm. I felt Northland Kia did not do the first job properly in my first appointment and should waive the $110 additional charge. My car was running fine with no problem before my first appointment of routine service.
