My basement reno started off well, until the contractor walked off my job because he wanted a higher rate than initially agreed upon, and I refused to pay him the extra. I hired another contractor to finish the project, and this is when deficiencies on ****** workmanship showed up....closet doors framed for incorrect door size, windows not square so window coverings do not fit properly, drywall openings for heat vents and electrical outlets cut out too large so the vents/faceplates do not fit. The contractor was repeatingly unwilling to discuss and offer suggestions on remedying his miscalculations. Little annoyances that could easily have been avoided have now become difficult to overcome due to standard sizes of most items.

Since Afterglow has been a formal company, around eight years now, this is our first negative review. It just happens to be from an ex-girlfriend when the job ended abruptly with our breakup. It saddens me that personal life had to be brought into business, but I think anyone reading this will understand where the energy comes from. I will respond to this no further.Review from Jason C

Looking to install a window in a walkout basement room. Decided to go with Afterglow, he came over, discussed the project and options and ordered the 2 x 5' Lux window. When the window arrived, They cut the stucco, drywall and 10"of concrete, framed the window and installed it, they spray foamed, insulated, cased, trimmed, drywalled, tapped, mudded and sanded the wall. I chose to paint but he would have. I definitely recommend Afterglow Renovations. Great job, thank you for being honest, detailed and doing quality work.Afterglow Renovations Calgary Inc. Response
