Our complaint is with Budget Blinds with and the ***** ***** * with concerns over a defective product (bedroom horizontal blinds) and damage to the UV film when he installed insert vanes between glass panels on 1 of our 2 French patio doors ***** saw immediately the problem with the bedroom blind and it took from March 16 to June 20 of this year to replace it. Our complaint is that he never informed us (after several unanswered calls to him) as to whether when,or how this problem would be rectified The main concern is a long scratch on the patio door UV film that we only saw the day after in the daylight. We don’t know if the tape measure he used damaged this film or whether it was the manner in which he cleaned the film, much to the dismay of us. *** ****, who we paid over $2500 to install 9 window films were very specific about proper cleaning procedures. We had these 9 windows done in Nov’22 and it is not coincidental that the film on this particular door was damaged the day ***** did his work (he himself admitted he is not an installer) Even more frustrating is that he IS NOT returning calls about this problem. It’s been 10 days since his installer took a pic of the *** **** invoice-we would like a resolve but by not phoning we are getting the impression he is absolving himself of any responsibility. The installer said Budget Blinds does install this film and on the *** **** receipt it does state the reflective capability, so we ask ourself why can’t this be be repaired or replaced. We feel we’ve been given the run around with this whole episode. A couple of years ago we had blinds installed by the same owner and we were very happy, hence coming back. I have NEVER made a complaint about work done inside/outside this house until now. It’s not his fault about the bedroom blinds, but after having spent over $1100 we should have some resolution to this problem. We are totally in the darkBusiness response
