As a homeowner who purchased a condo unit from Thind, I experienced a distressing incident on April 18, 2023. While entering my unit, a shelf located in the storage room near the main entrance suddenly fell down and hit my head, causing a severe headache. Upon further inspection, it was evident that the shelf was only glued to the wall and not secured by any screws. I had only placed five shoe boxes on top of the shelf, and one of them was even empty. This is undoubtedly a construction deficiency that should have been addressed by Thind. However, they have refused to take responsibility for this issue, leaving me feeling frustrated and unsure of how to proceed.The situation I experienced with the fallen shelf could have resulted in severe injury or even death if it had fallen at the wrong time and in the wrong position. It is incredibly concerning that such a construction deficiency was overlooked, especially considering the potential risks involved. Thind's refusal to address this issue only adds to my concerns and highlights the need for stricter regulations and standards in the construction industry to ensure the safety of homeowners.
