I hired ********************* of BAC Country Plumbing on June **, 2022. I am building a new house and **** was hired to do the plumbing and HVAC work. I received a quote from him for the entire job. He came and did the rough in portion and then contacted me for payment. He asked for cash to give a discount on the job. After I paid him he did not come back to finish the job leaving us without heat or hot water. He has since only contacted me to say he does not owe me anything although I have had to hire and pay another plumbing contractor to finish his job. I have attached his quote and text/emails and also the invoice for the new contractor.Business response

********************* contacted me for a quote to do the plumbing, heating and gasfitting on his new house build.I sent him an estimate for the quoted job price of $********* with all of the details listed of what would be included.
My crew completed the rough-in for the house which included the installation of the sewer stub out for septic connection,plumbing of all hot & cold water to fixture locations, installed radon mitigation, roof penetrations, fully ducted HRV, ducted dryer, installed bath fans, installed range exhaust & gas to the range and installed the gas line to the **** Payment of $********* was requested from **** after completion of this portion of the project and that amount went towards all of the materials & the labor to complete that stage.
There was never a signed contract with **** for a completion date and due to unforeseen delays with other projects that my company was contracted to do, schedules got pushed back. I called **** on Oct ***h, 2022 and let him know that we would be able to install the boiler with ***************** in approximately 2-3 weeks during this phone conversation. The boiler and installation of it would not have been billed until completion of that stage and was not part of the initial payments totalling $********* that **** is claiming. **** apparently made the decision to hire another company to complete the project without giving me the opportunity to finish and any costs associated with that are his responsibility.
The initial quote was for $*********. As requested by **** to reduce costs, I agreed to do the entire project for a total of $*********. To date, **** has paid my company a total of $********* for the rough-in plumbing, gasfitting and HVAC portion of the project. I have not requested nor received any other money from **** for the boiler and installation of it.
