Additional Information for Canadian Hemp Co

As of August 19, 2020 BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning the following issues:

Better Business Bureau (BBB) received several consumer inquiries, complaints and Scam Tracker reports about Canadian Hemp Co. Consumers alleged that they made purchases through the company's website and either did not receive the product or received something that they did not order. A BBB investigation found that Canadian Hemp Co does not have a licence for businesses operating Marijuana Sales and Services from the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB).

BBB sent two letters to the business to get information about their location, business model and competency licence. The letters were sent on February 5, 2020 and July 28, 2020. BBB also contacted the City of New Westminster to verify the existence of a business licence for the address listed on their website. However, the City does not have any records for this address. As of August 4, 2020, BBB has not received a response from Canadian Hemp Co.

BBB urges consumers purchasing cannabis products to consider the following suggestions:  

• Check the LCRB's website for licensed retailers.
• Before completing a transaction, research the company's name, address and contact information to determine its reliability and trustworthiness on sites like bbb.org. 
• If you tried to cancel an order or you are unable to get a refund within 15 days, contact your credit card provider with the details of the transaction and request a reversal of the charges.
