As of August 25 , 2023 BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning the following issues:
Customer Service Issues:
-Consumers are experiencing no follow-up or contact from business for a long period of time.
-Products and contracts aren’t explained properly to consumers at initial consultation.
Billing and Collection Issues:
-Credit report corrections required due to lack of customer service.
-Lack of understanding on loan products due to improper explanations.
Refund / Exchange Issues:
-Consumers are having trouble receiving their refunds from the company after going through their process.
-The company did not clearly articulate the refund requirements and processes to the consumer for them to be aware of how and why they can or can not receive a refund.
Service Issues:
-Consumers expressed being pushed to sign agreements without fully understanding the product and difficulty in canceling their agreements.
-Customers expressed payment issues.

*********************** from ********************* told me that she was going to put $2000 towards my student loan due to an unresolved issue in the past with CEI College. That was December of 2023 she had been avoiding my contact and my emails. I want more towards my account now because this has been an unresolved issue for going on three years now and Ive been contacting and trying to get this issue resolved every couple of months! No one is helping me, everyone at CDI college has been lying to me and made me out to be some kind of an idiot! I owe a large amount of money on my student loan because they lied to me, and now they are still lying to me, telling me they are going to credit my account $2000 and nothing has been put on or resolved!Initial Complaint

False dismissal due to termination of an instructor and I have been trying to contact them to enroll again for over a month with zero correspondence. I have left several voice-mails and emails and still nothing. I feel I have no choice but to contact the BBB in order to get any type of response.Initial Complaint

Graduated from CDI medical office assistant program. Trying to get a transcript. Sent many emails asking nothing returned. Called was passed to ******** location very rude staff member said ** never been a student nor was a location ever in **. Explained I have a diploma she said oh well and hung up. Called ***** number was told to email again explained I did and was told thats all they can tell me. I need this information for a job application. I started my ECE course in Jan, 2022. After two days, due to mental health issues, (I had a mental breakdown over the trauma of losing my mom) which I informed them about, I dropped out. I knew I would have to pay the penalty ($5200) for not finishing and I accept that but I noticed they kept $9400. I only noticed this when it was was time to pay back the loan a year later. I tried several tries to call, and email them but never heard back until recently. I was told the extra $4200 was for online books. I was never able to access them. I am not tech savvy so when I asked for help to access them, he was not much help. I could tell he was frustrated with my lack of knowledge which added to my anxiety. My problem isn't that though, it's having to pay $4200 for online books I NEVER once saw. I even told the lady that on the phone but she didn't care. Two days of college there has put me $9400 in debt. I understand paying the penalty, but I don't understand why I should have to pay $4200 for books I was never able to use. I would love to have the $4200 refunded. Thank you for your time.Initial Complaint

took the *** course in 2021, and before I took that course, I asked the phone staff if you had ** **** * ***** ******** ****** in order to obtain a job in this position. They told me no. I joined the course, completed the course, and the last two years, I have been trying to find a job in that position.. ************* * **** **** ****** *** ** *** **** **** *** **** * ***** ******** ****** ***** **** *********. I now have a huge student loan debt with the government, and education that I am not able to use because I was **** to prior to taking the course. I am very upset, I feel like I have been taken advantage of, and I am still currently looking for work within that field, hoping that one company will not have to do a criminal record check upon getting an interview.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: I had someone named ***********************, contact me by telephone. We made an appointment to have a **** meeting on November 16th, at 3pm.It is now November 16th, at 5:30pm, and I have not heard anything from her. No emails, no texts, nothing.

Got accepted for a 20 ********************************************************************************************** law. Now my life is ruined. No one will hire some one from CDI. This has been all over the news including a class action lawsuit.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:To CDI,
I was told this was an accredited college and yet it be a community College there is no valid accreditation. Firms for law do not I repeat do not recognize CDI as an accredited college. I'm very dissatisfied the only people the reach out from you are people that want to build my resume but my resume is great. I've actually had interviews. But once they find out I went through CDI. It's a no. Don't want this person. How am i supposed to get a job. Your "business" said I'm guaranteed 89% of the class will find a job. It's been more than a year. I ve sent out over 200 resumes. Cover Letters and reference letters. Nothing.

*** assured me the class would be class base but later Cdi did not provide teacher and claiming that is online clause. I tried to offer cdi 820 hours instructional hour but Cdi ignored it. Please no one waste your money with this College. It has been nothing but issues since the very first day. I was promised a 1000$ best buy card for signing up and have not recieved it! Then when I was doing my enrollment everything was fine, then a couple months later all of a sudden my one financing didn't go through I had contacted them they kept telling me to wait- than 6 months into the course they are now hounding me for money, I had asked if I could just cancel the whole thing as I didn't have the money. So pushed through it and then come to find out you don't even need a veterinary health care assistant diploma! This was a complete waste of my time and money! Then they even told me they will not give me the diploma till I finish paying them, well ok? You DONT even need a diploma for it anywaysm since the beginning all this place has wanted was just money and that is all that they cared about. You can't ever get ahold of them ever unless they hound you for money. So anyone wanting to come here just please don't ******* ***** ******** *** * **** ** *** **** ******Business response

I got kicked out of practicum. CDI SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT COURSE. maple bus lines was the placement. They were awful but the guy kurtis from cdi could not find any where else to place us. it's not because of my lateness while it's actually the owner who let other staff tell me and other student there to go home. PEOPLE WHO OWNED/WORKED THERE WOULD FALL asleep have ocd AND YELL. THEY MADE SIMULAR HUMAN ERRORS BUT SERIOUSLY JUST BLAMED ME. Cdi is choosing there side but it's a ****. Kurtis knows he couldn't find a place and now he's ignored my calls till I guess today so he can tell my sponsorship and I will owe. Because I need 80 more hours. The director and Craig and kurtis have decided that I didn't deserve help would not help with any concerns and I'm sick to my stomach. It's not fair that I'm being hurt the other student with me was late more times and absent more then me but he's still there. I probably sound guilty but no this is bad and I have no one to help . I don't know the story is more twisted but those are some of the facts. I signed a agreement I would finish a practicum to graduate but seriously this is impossible to find a place. ALSO THERE WAS 1500 OFFERED TO STUDENTS BY cdi and I can't get anyone to help saying I didn't do the practicum is not fair because there's no where. I deserve that money because it was promised and I asked Jeff b before I started and was worried about practicum even before becoming it's not too uncommon to have to clear your NAME I HEARD.
