I recently moved out of the **** ** ******* apartments. During my tenancy, all of my payments for rent and for my security deposit were given to my roommate, **** *******, who then would send payment on behalf of myself and our other roommate to the landlord. After I moved out, I only received part of my security deposit back from my roommate **** *******. After multiple email exchanges requesting the remainder of my security deposit, I was sent a cease and desist notice from **** as well as a threat of litigation. This cease and desist notice was written on behalf of Prospera Realty by **** *******, and included any contact with ****, his partner, or any staff members of the **** ** ******* or Prospero Realty. I contacted the landlord of the building, Rodica M******, and explained the situation to her, including the contents of the cease and desist. However, after explaining the situation she was unable to understand the situation. I was then contacted by ****, who informed me that I was being reported to both the Vancouver and Prince George police for contacting an employee of Prospero. I then called Prospero Realty to try to find some clarification. I made contact with the receptionist, who told me she was going to direct me to the person above Rodica, however she then hung up on me. I tried to call back multiple times and left a callback number, but did not hear back. I tried to contact Prospero through the email on their website regarding the situation, however I received a reply from Rodica who told me there was nothing they could do. They did not acknowledge any of my concerns about the cease and desist or the threats to the police. They only said they cannot help me with my security deposit (which I understand is between myself and ****).Business response

Prospero has discussed this situation with the sub-tenant, *****.
Prospero was not involved in this sublet, nor the handling of his security deposit, and are not involved with the cease and desist order. This sublet was done without the consent of Prospero.
We confirmed this with *****, and advised how he could pursue this further through the RTB dispute resolution process with the people he rented from, if he wished.
