My timeshare is by-yearly. This visit was disappointing. Having to ask (beg) for toilet paper 3 days out of 7 from the cleaning staff in the hall ways *** ******** *** ********** Who wants to beg for toilet paper in the hallways? I was asked to fill out a form when checking in about supplies I might need, and did so. Supplies were not delivered until I pressed them on it, and only delivered once. And then, STILL had to ask for toilet paper, tissues and paper towels. **** ********** Why was I asked to fill out a form when VaV can't deliver the requested items? And the one star is for the bedding and towels being clean and fresh. The shower actually had a hand held attachment that was appreciated. But no tub in this unit. Disappointing. And how about the pool? Was demanded I 'reserve time' if I wanted to swim between 5pm to 6pm. ***? Because with a life guard on staff, it is still only good for 10 ppl. ****** **** ******** I didn't bother after witnessing people jumping in the pool without showering first!! There are signs, but not at all enforced! *** ***** ** **** ** * **** **** ****** *** ***** ** ******** ** ** ***** ****** *** ***** ***** *** **** ******* Same with the hot tubs. People just get in without showering. *** **********! On the '1 star side' is the BBQ's worked great when I used them. I followed the instructions and both lit and provided ample heat. It's a shame no actual tools were included in the kitchen utensils. No long tongs, so had to use forks and the oven mitts provided. I was sure to clean them via the washer/dryers in unit. Also, only ONE dish towel provided. *** * ** *** *** ******** ***** *** *** *** **** ********* *** * ***** ***** ****** ******* ******* *** **** ****** *** * *** ******* ** **** ******* * *** **** ****** ** *********** * **** ***** ************** The units are degrading gradually, and I can only hope they will be up kept to the standards I have signed on to. It doesn't look good. ******* ***** *** **** ***** ******Vitality Assurance Vacations Response

Pushing hard at advertising Fractional Ownership, Vitality Assurance Vacations continues to disappoint. I’m locked in on a bi yearly time share with Vitality Assurance Vacations. Offered an unexpected, 3 nite stay in the home resort (Living Water Resort & Spa)for $99 AND $250.00 in resort $, I did take the low cost deal! I was eager to attend, as I like to know what’s going on with my paid for timeshare. Sales person ‘K’ was pleasant and presented ‘Fractional Ownership’. I was attentive to the presentation but in the end, decided, factional ownership at this property is not acceptable to me at this time. This is where things turned distasteful. I was told, (by sales person ‘K’), if I had no intention of purchasing a fractional ownership I should not accept these types of offers of sales marketing stay’s in the future. I remarked “ I accepted this deal because, I like to observe my maintenance fees at work“. “And it’s a low cost way, to come to the property to do that". 'K' said I should seek this type of assistance from VAV member services. I asked “would a mini visit cost be MORE than what I was offered?” ‘K’ said “of course.“ (so why would I do that????) I did not seek out this offer! If I’m offered this type of deal again, I WILL take it! Don’t tell me not to explore my options, sales person ‘K’. Did I waste your sales time? *** **** ** **** I didn’t beg VAV for a low cost mini stay. VAV approached ME(!), with the offer. Was advised to buy Fractional ownership, to avoid being locked in to maintenance fees, then, sell it at a later date, after 7yrs. The lowest offered is $70,000.00. (taxes/lawyers fees, extra) Why pay that $ to get out of a time share with 8 visits left, at a total approximate cost of $13,000.00. WHY??? Fractional Ownership is what's called *THROWING GOOD MONEY AFTER BAD*. A big NO from me! Furthermore, the on going decline in this property is very worrisome. I'm concerned it will only get worse, Fractional Ownership notwithstanding!Review from James B

Today, 31 May, we had the seminar with Vitality Vacations in Collingwood. None of my follow up questions were answered. On top of that we were insulted by the “closer” manager (didn’t get her name) and wrote the following email to them. Hello. My wife and I attended your seminar today (31 May) and quite frankly we were insulted by your “closer” (can’t remember her name, ***** ** ******** * **** *****). We dealt with Phil, and Penny, both of which were personable and several times said, if this isn’t for you, no problem. I myself take my time making a major financial decision, and asking me to part with what was going to become more than 52K over 10 years, is just not going to happen. There were many questions that I had, that were left unanswered (and still are unanswered) I am left with no more information to make a rational decision, than when I entered. I asked if the one piece of paper they HAD written numbers I could take with me, to which your closer ignored and took the piece of paper. *** ****** *** when she realized that I was not going to sign on the dotted line today (even after the special deal she came up with in the end, that was never brought up on the presentation) when she said to my wife, and I quote “don’t bother taking to him about it, he won’t listen to anything you say anyway”. * ***** **** **** ****** ** ***** ********* *** *** ***** *** I can’t begin to tell you how wrong she was. If this is an example of the senior staff you have at Vitality vacations, then I am glad to have missed this opportunity. If however an even more senior member is willing to actually answer my questions and give me time to digest the information, so that I can make an informed decision, I look forward to that email. **** ** ******* **** * **** **** * **** ** **** ***** ** *** **** ***** ******** ** *** * ****** *** ** **** ****** *** ******* * ******** ***** ****** ** ****** ** **** ****** I expect its just the normal way of selling “time share”, ***** *******Review from D. **** *** **** *** ***** ********** ** *** ***** ** ** * ****** ** **** ***** I use the term ******* because to be expected to pay $28k for absolutely nothing, is the only adjective. Not only is there not a cooling off after purchasing this " timeshare", but we also called the Monday after the presentation to cancel this purchase and were told we couldn't cancel the agreement. I also encountered several issues booking any of the accommodations that we were promised during the presentation where we asked very pointed questions and asked for clarifications with examples during Mindy's presentation which was grossly misrepresented. ** **** ********* **** *** To date after several requests, we have been unable to book any of the dream vacation weeks we were promised. Couldnt book the cruise suites that were promised. The resort fees, which were also mispresented are far greater than the cost of the resorts if I booked on my own. It is outrageous and I am unclear why anyone would be okay with this. After several conversations and emails with the manager Jessica, she acknowledged the difficulties we were having with the "arrangement" and continues to focus on fees versus being accountable for what we were supposed to receive which is absolutely nothing. One of the senior agents Jessica put us in touch with to help us book a dream vacation said "Where is the Maldives" to which we realized we were in trouble. Not a paid stay, not a dream week absolutely nothing have we received. Although my husband and i were involved in the transacation, they seem to be only trying to collect from me. I would dissuade anyone from considering this time-share which appears to be a lifelong commitment in exchange for nothing according to Vitality Vacations.Vitality Assurance Vacations Response

Hi *******, thanks for reaching out about your vacation plans. I understand from our previous conversation that you were hoping to visit the Maldives in May 2023. As we previously mentioned, all availability for that timeframe is booked. However, I don't want to give up on finding your dream vacation! Here are a few options to consider: While May is booked, we found some availability at beautiful Maldives resorts like ********* Island Resort and ********** Island Resort in other months throughout 2023. These options offer stunning scenery and relaxation, similar to what you might find in Collingwood. We've included a note to contact the resorts directly to confirm any potential resort fees or mandatory meal plans since these are not included in your Dream Week. Since the Maldives are fully booked in May, we searched for other stunning locations with availability in Africa for your desired timeframe. You might consider South Africa, with options like ******* at ****** Island or ******* at ******** Sands. These resorts offer beachfront locations and beautiful scenery. Again, please contact the resorts directly about any potential resort fees or mandatory meal plans. If these options aren't quite what you're looking for, I'm happy to keep searching. Just let me know your preferences and any additional details that might help narrow down the options. We apologize for the initial disappointment regarding the Maldives in May. Hopefully, these alternative options provide something exciting for you to consider. We understand that the options we previously provided might not be ideal, and I apologize for any frustration this caused. We sent you a list of options on April 11th where we explained the limited availability in Mauritius. Knowing your priorities (beachfront location, specific activities, relaxation focus) might help us refine the search and find a resort that better aligns with your desires. We completely understand your concern about additional fees. These fees may be resort-specific and can include mandatory expenses like resort fees or meal plans. We want to ensure your Dream Week vacation is truly unforgettable. Please don't hesitate to share your thoughts or preferences, and we'll be happy to continue searching for the perfect getaway. In the meantime, you're welcome to review the resort descriptions and availability I previously sent. However, I understand your concern about resorts booking up quickly. If you find one that interests you, please let me know, and I'll prioritize confirming its availability for you. We appreciate your patience and look forward to helping you plan your dream vacation.Customer Response

Dear Business, This is not the last correspondence between your organization and my family, so please produce those emails, which include your representative stating she would try to get me a seasoned representative to help me because everyone was new and there was a lot of turnover. Representatives answering the phones were not familiar with common destinations in the Caribbean and Africa. Please produce the emails where we were told at the presentation that the cruise suites were also options for our package. Also, please add we asked the Monday post the weekend to back out but were advised we couldn't. Lastly, your organization has $3k paid by credit card, and to date, we have never used the service, nor do we have an active account. If you are going to provide a vague response to my claim, please add facts.Review from KIMBERLEY H

This is what to expect and how difficult and time consuming it is, as a time share member of Vitality Assurance Vacations when asking a simple question. 1st email to VAV. Requested information regarding the procedure to access year round use of facilities as provided in the signed contract. 1st. Reply from VAV. “you do have full access to the Resort during your stay as per your membership.” 2nd email to VAV “Of course I have full access during my stay. That's not what I asked.” (I quote the contract)*The Purchaser shall also have access to the facilities at *** ********* Resort Limited on a year round basis including but not limited to the use of the golf course, tennis courts, swimming pools, subject to the rules and conditions applicable from time to time to memberships* What I am asking is, do I show my membership card at the front desk and proceed to the pool/BBQ area, or is showing of the membership card necessary? 2nd Reply (from VAV) “Your membership does give you access year round to the resort as your contacts states” 3rd email (!) to VAV My reply -> “Yes. The fact of, 'year round access to amenities as per the contract' is/has been established' as per the contract! I need to know the PROCESS used to access Living Waters Resorts amenities, when not staying at the resort. If you are unable to help with this question, please direct my email to someone who can. This is the 3rd time requesting this information.” 3rd Reply (from VAV): “If you are in the town staying with us or not staying with us, members do have access to facility and have to bring a membership card to front desk and they can give access to the pool, BBQ.” This reply is (finally!) from a the Vitality Member Services Manager. A simple question that needed 6, back and forth emails and a clarification about the contract to Vitality Assurance Vacations. Quoting the contract is ALWAYS necessary when dealing with Vitality Assurance Vacations! It's exhausting! So unworthy of the $ paid.Review from Tina V
