I just want to inquire as to "can I do anything about this". In January of 2022 I had new flooring put in my apartment and paid for it out of my own pocket. The gentleman that installed it was fast and courteous at the time, but have a very different view now. The flooring cost $1816.58 and I paid in full. However the next day I found a rip in it which his employee acknowledged he did. The Owner came to see it, and said I will come back tomorrow with $200 cash and make sure it's fixed right, or you can have new floor. I said the $200 was fine. However, he never came back and the tear in the floor is quite noticeable now. I feel new floor is the way to go, and since her shock my hand that he'd be back the next day, I want to know since he didn't come, is that now null and void. I would like at least $900 back now or new floor. I've emailed him several times and have text him a couple times and spoke to his mom who is his receptionist. she assured me they don't do business like this, but apparently they do! Is there anything I can do about this. Just seeking help and $$. Frankly I don't want him back in my place but if that is my only option I will get someone to be here with me if he comes. I have talked to a few people since this and realize he's a shyster. so sad.
