I have decided to pick a course with this college and on 01/07/2023 I have made an ******** payment of $799.00 to them hoping to start on January 14 2023. However, College cancelled the course the day before it was supposed to start on January 13, 2023, claiming broken heating at the facility and offered me a new course in April, this timing was not acceptable and I decided to cancel, filled out a cancellation form only to find out that college will only reimburse me with $299.00 out $799! ********* **** ******* *** **** ******** ** **** ***** ** ********** ** **** ******* **** ** ****** **** ** **** ****** *** **** *** **** ***** ** *** **** **** **** **** *************** ***** Charging $500 for so called "Administrative fees" ** ******* ******** *** ** ***** **** **** ********* ** **** * ******** *********** ******* *** *** **** ******* ** ******* *** ******* ****** ****** ** ***********Initial Complaint

Kindly help me, I have made payment of $500 CAD to CIMT college for registration on 23 Dec,2021. Enrollment contact was verified on Friday 24 Dec 2021,Chritmas Eve & I received copy, Same day I spoke to Purwa(Student Advisor) regarding OSAP and college wasn't eligible to get me grant, I asked her about refund policy but she tried to convinced me to stay in college and didn't say anything about enrollment contract, Last word I said to her was that I will let her know about admission. After that Christmas holidays started, I tried calling college no body answered as College was closed. So I thought why wait till Wednesday and I have send an email to Purwa on (Observed Holiday)Monday 27 Dec 2021 ,that I am not able to attend school and please give me my refund. Purwa (Student Advisor ) responded on Wednesday 29 Dec 2021 and she kept saying that they will not refund my $500 *******************************************************************************. I requested her to transfer my call to Manager but she said manager is on holiday now and I asked for the someone whom I can speak regarding refund, she said no one is available now and Anudeep (Manager) will give me a call and I will not get any refund from them. I called the college so many times for solution and I have send the another email for resolution. At last on 30 Dec Anudeep called me through No caller ID when I said to receptionist and purwa that I am eligible for my refund and I will complain about their ****************** bad behavior and not giving my hard earned money back.I explained same thing to Anudeep that I really need my refund and I asked for the refund within two working days and I have send them you all the proofs as well but she said I'll not get any refund back. ********************************************** I'm saving for my tuition please help me to get my refund back as I asked for it within two working days, that's why I'm requesting BBB to help me and get the solution for this problem.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/07) */ As per the refund policy, any student is eligible for a full refund on the registration fees within 2 days of registering or enrolling. All the policies are sent to the student via email, prior to enrolling in the program so that the student is aware of this BEFORE enrolling/registering. This particular student signed the contract on Dec 23rd and the student sent the written request of withdrawing from the program on Dec 27th. Since the request of withdrawal came after the 2 days period, there was no refund applicable in this case. The student was informed of the same. The student was giving an option of joining the program on the same registration fee within next one year. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/01/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) A contract was received on December 23, 2021 BUT it was validated on December 24, 2021. That means the contract it was valid from December 24, 2021. December 24,2021 was christmas eve and working hours were reduced to 3pm. The school was officially close until December 29, 2021. On December 24, 2021 I spoke to Purwa about that I am not sure to start school. I did not call on Saturday and Sunday as College was closed. On December 27,2021 (observed holiday) I decided to cancelled the contract through Email. As per " FEE REFUND POLICY"****************** student must cancelled within 2 days of received a copy, it was weekend- Christmas Holidays and school was close there was NO ONE to whom contact and cancelled the contract. When I cancelled the contract, I received a respond on December 29,2021 from Purwa which wasn't helping at all. The Manager Anudeep responded on December 30,2021, When I complained about ************** behavior. I am entitle to my MONEY BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, the contract was validated on DECEMBER 24, 2021. NOT ON December 23, 2021. **************************************************************************************************************************************************** I have been requesting before the new year. Refund me the fees without any further delays.
