We bought a bunch of $150 Gift Certificates from Mariposa Cruises/City Cruises on Jan 3, 2019 (Invoice #s ***** and *****) - (30) pcs of $150 gift certificates on ***** and another (30) pcs of $150 gift certificates under *****. We had consumed part of the vouchers, and have an email confirmation from the company that we have a partial balance of 12 vouchers x 150 as of July 19, 2023 ****** **** ****** ******* *** *** ***** **** *** ********* Our company closed down during the pandemic from Mar 2020 and re-opened only last year, fall of 2022. Our contact at Mariposa/City Cruises, ****** ******, emailed us in 2020 and in 2021 assuring us that the voucher validity has been extended from 2020 to 2022. We tried to explain that due to pandemic lockdown in our office, we need it to be valid up to end of 2023 at least. Ontario laws as of 2008 mandate that gift cards and gift certificate vouchers should not have an expiry. ****** *** **** ****** ** * ********** ** ***** stating that the validity has been extended twice from 2020-2022...******** *** ******** *** **** ** clawback at least a $1000 worth of gift certificates that could not be consumed due to the pandemic.
