I purchased a used 2005 ********** ****** for $5200 and paid cash. On January 29th I went out to look at the car and ***** (dealership owner) told me it was a great car and lots of other people wanted it so I was lucky to get such a great buy. I asked if I could take it for a test drive and ***** said don't go on the highway because it has no registration, so I drove it around the block 1 time in McLean and it was what I expected for an older car, good enough. When I asked about the sunroof ***** told me not to open it, I thought that was odd but being January I figured maybe nows not the time just in case it gets stuck open, I didn't want to cause any damage to the interior if it was stuck open. I needed a car so I paid for it and went to pick it up in the next couple days. About 10 minutes down the road the check engine light came on and then 5 minutes later another light came on. When I got it home I plugged a code reader into it and got 8 warnings on it. I called ***** and he said he knows a good mechanic that will come and look at it the next day. ****** (*****'s mechanic) showed up the next day to look at it and read the codes then cleared them and took it for a test drive and said it need new spark plugs and he would change them. By this time the the coolant had a leak, the sunroof wasn't working right, the car was overheating, and vibrating like crazy when I would drive it, I started to notice that exhaust was coming into the car with the doors closed, and the hood latch wasn't working so I couldn't add coolant. ***** said he will get it fixed and he will make me happy.****** did all the fixing but nobody would tell me what all he did. I went back out to pick up the car and 1 km outside of town my check engine light came back on but ***** wasn't taking my calls so I called ****** and he didn't want to have anything to do with it. He just said talk to *****. Now that I have talked to ***** he says he doesn't care and hangs up on me, refuses to answer my calls.

      On January 29th ****** came and bought a 2005 ********** from us.

We had the car gown though the shop and it came out with no issues as we do with all of our vehicles. We road tested it and it was good to go.

A month later ****** called and said he was having problems with the car. We picked the car up and took it to our mechanic. We fixed all the issues and the car was returned to ******.

****** called about a week later and said he still was having issues with the car. We told him we’d take it back and have it repaired again. ****** got upset and said he doesn’t even care anymore, so ***** said if you don’t care then I don’t care.

We checked the car from top to bottom and fixed everything it needed. There was just no making him happy. He wanted us to make a new car out of an older car.

      Thanks for your time.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

They claim to have run the car through the shop and it came out with no issues. I find this hard to believe due to the issues that I experienced only a short while after picking up the car. There were issues that don't just happen to appear. There were error codes that would have had to be cleared in order to not show up and raise red flags.

***** said in her response that it took me a month to contact them with issues. This is simply not true as I had many conversations and phone calls from January 29th to February 6th. * **** ******** *** ***** ** **** ** **** ****** ***** ** ** ***** ********

During my final phone call to ***** on March 7th he told me that he already spent $2000 on my car, to which I replied "I don't care how much money you spent, it's not fixed and I'm still not happy" and ***** told me "if you don't care then neither do I" and proceeded to hang up on me. He refused to answer my calls after that and he would just hang up on me when I would call him.

So I took the car to a mechanic with a good reputation in Regina. The news he gave me was that it needed a new engine and my car was steadily declining in functionality and I was worried that it would break down on the side of the road so I asked him to replace the engine.

      ***** ** ******** * ****** ** *** **** ***** ****** *** ***** **** **** ******* *** *** ******** ***** *** ***** ****** **** ** ********** ** ***** ** **** ***** **** ****** *** **** ** ****** *** ******* * ******* **** ** *** **** *** ***** *********

      ****** **** ** ******** ******** *** ***** ** *** ** ************** *** ******** ** ************* *** *** ***** ** ***** ***** ***** **** ***** ** *** *** * ***** ***** *** ******** ** ***** ****** ** *** ******

I am not satisfied with their response and I want them to either pay me for the new engine or take the car back paying me the $5200 in cash I paid PLUS the amount that it cost me to have a new engine installed.

      Sincerely,

      ****** *******

This is in regards to a complaint made on behalf of ***** *******.

I sold a 2006 ** ******* with a trade on a 2006 ***** *** on October 18th to ***** *******. She contacted me on Friday December 15th that she was having oil leaking problems after taking it to have an oil change done. Then she said she had to get another oil change 2 weeks later.

We told her to bring it back and we would check it out for her. She showed up in town on the 15th and left her car at her friends out across the street and then left it at the car lot the next day. I did have my mechanic look at it for her and it was a lose oil filter so it was put on properly and I parked her car on Main Street to come get it. The car is completely trashed inside and out. She has vomit on the door and it’s full of trash.

Also she was partying with her friends across the street and was running around in town banging on peoples doors. The police had been called and she was escorted out of town on Saturday. *** *** *** ******* *** ****** ** ********* ** *** * ******** ******* ******* ******** ***** *** ******* ****** ****.

      ** **** * **** ************ **** *** ***** ***** **** ** *** *** **** ** *** ***** *****. The truck we took in trade ended up with blown transmission. It was $4,500 to replace.

      Thanks. ***** *********
