On May 21, 2024 my husband purchased 2 packages of cigarettes from the Red Apple in Moosomin, Sk. He paid with his debit card. A few days later I was going over our bank statement and I noticed that we had three purchases of the exact same amount on the same day from the Red Apple with no other purchases in between. They had over charged my husband twice for his cigarettes. I told him to go to the bank and get the statement and take it to the Red Apple to show them he had been overcharged and get his money back. He did so, and the manager told him she would have to contact her head office before a refund could be given out. I stopped in at the store and asked if she had heard anything and she told me that they now are under new management so hadn’t heard anything. I called yesterday, July 25, 2024 and was told that she sent the email on May 29, 2024 and never received any response. I’m not really sure what the problem is in just refunding someone back their money when they have clearly overcharged them. I also work in retail and I have never heard of this before. We are out just over $**, but that’s not really the point. We shouldn’t have to still be fighting two months after the fact to get our money back. I have also tried calling head office myself and can’t get through to anyone. Not sure what else I can do.
