BBB of Southern Colorado Excellence in Customer Service Award
In 1995, Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado launched the Excellence in Customer Service (EICS) Award patterned after the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award – Customer Service section.
The Excellence in Customer Service Award is a challenge to a company to develop measurements and processes in support of a customer service system. This system is then analyzed against a scoring matrix containing seven categories and the level of maturity within each. All BBB of Southern Colorado Accredited Businesses are invited to participate in the EICS application process.
EICS is NOT a competition between companies– it is a singular journey of process within a company. We believe customer service driven companies make our community a better place to live.
The 2023 EICS application process is underway. The 2024 application process will begin next January with the application writing workshop. Watch for details or contact info@bbbsc.org for information about the EICS process.

MISSION: Recognize companies that center their business model on delivering GREAT customer service in a systematic, data driven way.
VISION: Encourage a cultural shift from a profit only mindset to a purpose driven stakeholder model, creating consumer confidence and trust in the marketplace.
