I went to this salon February 23, 2024 for a hair color service with Casper that was done horribly. The original stylist had me come back for a second appointment on February 29, 2023 which made my hair worse. The original stylist connected me with the owner, Basia Muotka, of the salon who agreed to a refund for the amount of $340 which is the amount I paid for the service, which she would give in cash but stated that I needed to come to her private suite to receive. Since I was coming to the salon on March 8, 2023 to get the refund, she insisted on fixing my hair in addition to giving the refund. I got to the private suite on March 8 where the owner of the salon corrected what the original stylist had done (which was nowhere near what I originally went in for) and after she was done refused to give the refund she agreed to. When continuing to discuss it she said she would give a refund for the original stylists services but who then need to charge me for her services regardless of previously agreeing to a refund. She has since blocked my phone number and refused to give any refund- partial or full.Business response

I did a service for ****** and we were chatting her whole appointment about me giving her the service she was originally wanting. I spent a lot of time and product achieving this goal of hers. I feel at this point, she is trying to get a free service from my business. We tried multiple times to make her happy and her hair looked great in the end.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
a refund was agreed upon before coming in for a third time to get my hair fixed and wasnt given after the fact. For the amount I paid, its very misleading to agree to a refund then not give it especially considering the only reason I came to the second location was to get the refund in the first place and the owner insisted on still fixing my hair- which it still was not what I originally wanted. It looked better than when I walked in but it was no where close to what I went in for originally. The owner even agreed that the original stylist did a terrible job on my hair.
I absolutely would still like a refund- not to get a free service but because Ive had to get my hair fixed a fourth time by someone not within their salon so I didnt absolutely hate my hair.

Some times people are not honest about what was previously on their hair before the appointment. Not everyone gets exactly what the picture is that they are wanting. I would have given her a refund instead of doing her hair but she said she would give it a chance. I would not have done her hair , if she just wanted a refund. That was not made clear and we talked during her appointment about it. The original stylist did not do a terrible job, he was just not comfortable with the client. He is an excellent hair dresser. I did everything I could to accommodate this client.

I am rejecting this response because:I can see that youre not going to be honest. I was very transparent with what had been done to my hair previous to my appointment and saying he did a bad job because he was uncomfortable with me is absolutely not true. He is a wonderful person and we had a great time during both appointments, his work in my case turned out to not be his best work. People make mistakes, and I was extremely polite when I reached back out letting him know I was unhappy with how it turned out the first time. After he did my hair a second time it was still not done well, to which you agreed. My issue is not with him, its with the owner.
You agreed to a refund, set up a time to get it, THEN asked if you could still do my hair. There is no part of that which was unclear in our text messages and had you not blocked my phone number you wouldve gotten the text where I asked how much your services would have been however you handled yourself in a very misleading way.
It seems that this will not be resolved so the BBB can take it from here
