I bought a Bosch 800 series, duel fuel slide in range, model number HD18056U kitchen range on April 27, 2024 from Allen and Petersen. The cost was $2,949.95. It was delivered June 4, ******* has dangerous design flaws that have been confirmed by a certified appliance repairman sent to my home by *****. I have been injured twice, once with a bad burn and once by tripping over the warming drawer that inadvertently opened. I have written the ****************************************. I have asked Allen and Petersen manager, **** ******, for a refund. She has contacted ***** about the problem and said they would contact me by August 23. I have called Allen and Petersen numerous times with no results. I am asking for a refund for this range that has dangerous design flaws.Business response

As a retailer we don't have control over how the product is built, but have confidence that the manufacturer will ultimately help with the problem. Our staff continues to call ***** on the customer's behalf and they continue to tell us that they will reach out to her. We encourage the customer to reach out to the manufacturer as well. Please note that the range is working as designed, the design is just not working for the customer.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:It does not resolve my issue. Of course, Allen and Peterson does not have control over how the product is built. However, when a customer has safety issues with a product they sell it is their responsibility to make it right. If they expect ***** to cover my refund I have no confidence it will happen. I contacted Allen and Petersen and ***** about the dangerous design flaws on July 25. It is now September 5 and nothing has been done.
Allen and Peterson says the design is not working for me. The repairman and myself disagree. It is a bad design for everyone. I hope no one else, especially small children, will be injured by the defective kitchen range.

While the customer works with *****, perhaps it would be a good idea to start looking at new stoves that would work better for her. Our staff could work with her on that now, anticipating resolution. Finding a stove without the pop to open drawer below will be fairly easy, but finding a stove that doesn't get hot near the front will be more tricky.

I am rejecting this response because I have not received a refund. I have no desire to work with Allen and Petersen for a new stove. Their customer service is terrible. My issue has been going on since July and is still not resolved.

I am rejecting this response because I have not received a refund yet. If you were so sure ***** would give me a refund why didn't you have the refund sent it to you and refund me the cost? I've been dealing with both you and ***** since July and nothing has happened. I will believe it when I see a check.
