I went to the pharmacy to pick up a medication of mine I've been taking for years. They tell me one of them is being held up by insurance. I go to call my insurance and am told it's because they put in for a 90 day supply. Then I'm told that this particular medication I can only get for a 30 day supply three times and then I'll have to get it through Express Scripts mail order service or they won't cover it. I don't know what kind of kickbacks whoever is getting higher up for this absolute BS but that can't be legal. How can they force me to use their terrible mail order service? They have too many problems with it and I refuse to use it. This is absolutely ridiculous and infuriating. Why am I paying them money to make my life difficult? This should be illegal. If I wasn't getting it through my employer I would never use Anthem because they are the absolute worst.Business response

This complaint does not pertain to the ********, AL business ******. It sounds like in the consumers complaint that her issue is with **************** which is not handled through here. Anthem is a nationwide licensee with Blue Cross Blue Shield. The ********* AL ****** handles the Business accounts with Blue ********************** Blue Shield in **********, ******* and other surrounding counties. I am very sorry for her issues she is having, however it does not pertain to this particular ****** as we have no dealings with ****************.
