I had a Dentist Appointment. I was there on time. I was taken to an exam room and forgottened about for 50 minutes. I got up and was leaving when my Dentist (Dr. *********************** realized he had made a Mistake and forgot about me. He did everything BUT apologize. I told him, "I would reschedule due to them being over booked for that day." Everyone there knew, I wasn't seen by the Dentist or even any other employee. They Billed me for an appointment, THEY missed, not me.Business response

This letter is in response to the complaint ID listed above. We appreciate your notification of this complaint and your attempt to get a resolution for this issue. Here at Wilson & ********************** Family Dentistry, we want you to know that since **** when our practrce opened, we have not encountered a situation as this one. ********************** had an appointment with us 11/16/2022 at 4:00 pm. ********************** arrived early, greeted by a team member, checked in for his appointment, and seated in our waiting area. At 3:45 pm, ********************** was escorted to an operatory for his 4:00 pm appointment. Dr. ********************** arrived to the operatoryand was confronted by ********************** walking out. The time was 4:21 pm. When asked if he wanted to continue with his appointment or re-schedule, ********************** declined and kept walking, shutting down further communication. As with any health care facility, certain events and circumstances arise that inhibit the ability to provide services at the patient's elected appointment time. Every effort is made to respect appointment times as it relates to individual patient care. No charges were applied to ************************** account for 11/16/2022 as no service was provided. ********************** was sent a billing statement dated for 11/17/2022 for a previous date of service which was 10/14/2022 in the amount of $36.50. This amount was not paid by ************************** insurance. Insurance explanation of benefits stated coverage terminated prior to date of service. Upon arrival. on date of service 10/14/2022, ********************** did not inform any front desk staff that he no longer had insurance to help cover his service expenses. We collected an estimated co-insurance from ********************** at this time and processed insurance for the remaining amount which was$36.50. This amount was declined by insurance because ************************** plan had terminated prior to 10/14/2022.
