      Despite our previous communication, the refrigerator has not been replaced, and it continues to malfunction, causing inconvenience and potential food spoilage. Additionally, there is a new and alarming issue that has recently come to our attention. What was initially believed to be smoke or fire damage in the ceiling has, upon further inspection, been identified as black mold.

      The Owners have recently changed management companies here, and I have taken over the management position for ******************************** *** as of October 1, 2023. I replaced the refrigerator on the 2nd (Monday), the first day that I was here in the office after she called me that day. I was unaware of any pre-existing issues when I got here. I am only finding out about this complaint through this site. She has never called to complain about anything but the refrigerator. We will schedule maintenance to go see what the problem is and fix it. I am sorry that she had to do this. Poor maintenance is the reason that the change was made.

      Over the past month, I have made multiple maintenance requests concerning getting my refrigerator fixed. I am pregnant and my child's expected due date is 11/24/22, sometime this week. I have put in three maintenance requests since 10/18/22 and have visited/called on several occasions on how this can be resolved. On the last two recent visits, I was told that the previous maintenance man had told the property management that the issue had been resolved. However, that was not the case because the problem had/has gotten worse. When the previous maintenance man that was employed did come by, he told the other tenant that lives here the apartment management would have to replace the refrigerator due to how intense the problem is. I have images both from October and recently today that can help bring some visualization to the current situation at hand. Although a new maintenance man came by in the past few hours, I am told again that a replacement refrigerator is needed until the current fridge is fixed. We are now having to have the freezer opened and defrosted for thirty minutes every other three days or so. And anything items not used immediately within the first three days of being placed in the refrigerator, especially dairy products, must be tossed. We have also had to buy multiple bags of ice to keep the fridge part cool to have food items last longer for storage within the fridge. A solution is needed sometime this week, if possible, because of the expected arrival of my baby. I look forward to whatever solution will be accomplished in moving forward.
