Dear Sir or Ma'am,On Tues, 14 Nov 23, I leased a **** Honda Odyssey from Shottenkirk Honda in Huntsville.Less than 24 hours later, I noticed my salesperson, ********, and/or finance person, ****, had added a $3,195.00 "wear and tear" fee into my lease. As a result, my monthly payment is now higher than it should be.There was no mention of this $3,195.00 fee in my discussions with anyone I spoke with prior to the signing; they shadily added it to my lease without my knowledge.Just a few hours after leaving the dealership, I noticed this fee, spoke with **** (a manager), and asked for the fee to be removed (because I didn't see it when signing the paperwork).Even though it had been less than 24 hours, they would not remove it.As a result of this (above), I would like for Shottenkirk Honda to either remove the extraneous $3,195.00 fee or release me from the lease. When I talked to ****, he told me there was nothing they could do (which is not true).Since they were not up front about this added fee and since I notified them within 24 hours (after leaving), they should remove the fee or release me from the lease.*********,***************************** P.S. A few other problems with my dealings at Shottenkirk Honda were as follows:My salesperson, ********, told me that the Obsidian Blue Odyssey was "difficult to get" in to the dealership and I now know they could have easily gotten this color (without much difficulty). In addition, Technician **** did not correctly record the ***** and did not accurately record the 'color' of the **** Honda Odyssey I leased (i.e., on the Pre-Delivery Inspection Checklist).Technician **** also did not sign the Pre-Delivery Inspection Checklist either. In the end, I encountered a lot of problems (regarding dealing with Shottenkirk Honda of Huntsville).

we have text messages responses and offers from her at $650 a month or less.

her payment ended up at $630 a month which was less than what she offered.

it is a lease and lease is all about the payment she wanted.

she got lower payment than she offered.

we even made her first payment which saved her 630$.

Dear Sir or Ma'am (of Shottenkirk Honda, Huntsville, AL):

Regarding your response that a lease is 'all about the monthly payments,' I disagree.

A lease is about what a person is willing to pay during the 3-year contract (plus whatever the residual will be if they later decide to buy the car).

I did not agree to an additional $3,195.00 "wear and tear" fee.

I have texts which show that I contacted my salesperson, ********* within 24 hours of leaving the dealership (when the vehicle had 20-plus miles on it) about this matter.

There was zero discussion about an additional $3,195.00 being added in to my lease payments.

By law, a dealership can offer the "wear and tear" fee and the customer can decline it.

Here's a question for the owner of Shottenkirk Honda. . . . WHY would you hold me to an extraneous fee that I don't want to pay???

Does anyone there care about repeat business?

Here's some information I would like both ************************* and *********************** to know:

      - ******** lied to me when she said the Obsidian Blue Honda Odyssey EX-L was a "difficult" color to get to the dealership
      - ************************* lied to me when he said "all new leases" have the "wear and tear" fee; this is false

Also, I asked for no chemicals to be used on the interior . . . and I now think chemicals were used on the interior.

Although I've kept the windows down and have placed baking soda in the vehicle, I'm getting headaches every time I drive the vehicle.

Again, please remove the $3,195.00 fee; it was not discussed with me and should be removed.

      Sincerely,
      *****************************

As stated previously,****************** had made us an offer of 650 a month for 36 month and her making the first payment of 650 out of pocket(we have all the communication).

Since she was a repeat customer,we got her payment to 630 a month instead of 650 a month for the 36 month and made her first payment for her as a loyalty gesture.

The fact that she has less payment then she offered and a better coverage(WEAR AND TEAR POLICY)should have made her a super happy customer.

Regardless of how Shottenkirk Honda is attempting to spin this, the extraneous "wear and tear" fee should not have been added without my knowledge.

Also, I'm NOT a repeat customer of ***************************************; this is the FIRST interaction I've ever had with this place (and I regret it).

In the end, I'll be stuck paying an OVERALL $3,195.00 more than I should be paying (this spin about me having fewer payments is used-car-salesman nonsense).

How could there be a loyalty benefit when I've never done business with this place in the past?

According to Honda Corporate, all dealerships are separate, right?

      Sincerely,
      *****************************

P.S.  Here's something which should work for both parties . . . rewrite the contract, subtract out this fee, and allow me to make all 36 of my OWN payments (while keeping all other numbers in the contract the same); I turned in a **** Honda Odyssey EX-L with low miles (******) which was in pristine condition... if 35 payments are a favor to me, then Shottenkirk Honda should be happy with me making 36 payments instead.

On June 17 I found a ****** Tacoma online. I contacted the dealership and we agreed on a price. I couldn't view the carfax online due to work security. I asked salesman to verify a clean carfax which he did. Based on price and clean carfax I submitted a $500 deposit. I could come the next day but since ******* was off they asked me to come Saturday AM.When I arrived the truck had clearly been in a rear end event of some sort. Dented and had welding on back bumper and the bumper itself was off kilter. I asked to see a Carfax which confirmed rear end damage. On top of this there was rust inside the cab of the vehicle and all underneath. None of this was disclosed prior to deposit. But the deposit was taken on the verbal confirmation of a clean Carfax, which it does not have.Note, this is not a complaint on price, we had already reached a price. I am attaching an email confirmation of said agreement of price. This is about a truck that had been in an accident and the attempt to hide it. I drove 2.5 hours from *******. All I want is my deposit back. This isn't about money, its about a point. I strongly do not want a business to benefit from dishonest practice. I asked for a refund and was told I couldn't get it and could only use it on the car. So I left. Also attaching an email to management about the situation.
