This office coded the services provided incorrectly (coded as services provided to a minor, despite treating a very much 30+-year-old), causing the claim to be declined by my insurance. The coding error means I am being charged for services not received. My insurance's explanation of benefits and what this company has charged me are not the same. Upon contacting my insurance for further information regarding the explanation of benefits, they indicated that beyond just the coding error, part of what I am being charged should be a discount based on my having insurance through my specific provider. I have attempted to contact their office and left a request to be called by their billing/coding specialist in mid-July, but they have not complied with that request.Business response

After speaking with the patient and the insurance company, it was determined that the insurance company responded with a zero payment in error. The matter was competed and we are awaiting a corrected payment from the insurance company.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 17712459, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
