We purchased a brand new 2024 manufactured home from Regional Homes of Bonifay and Sunshine Homes was the manufacturer. The home was delivered May 2023 and we moved in, in June 2023. We started having issues right away with the ** system. The ** was not cooling in some parts of the house. We had multiple companies come take a look and they all agreed that the air handler was too small for the until outside and that there was issues with the duct work. Sunshine Homes even sent their on guy out to look at it who agreed but said they couldnt check the duct work without cutting a hole in the roof. He was supposed to report to his boss but we never heard anything back. In Nov 2023 the ** unit outside stopped working all together. I have text messages from Regional Homes telling me they will fix it even if they have to pay for it theirselves. Fast forward, we have window units in every room and still no **. We now have mold growing everywhere do to the attic not being cooled properly. I have sent a certified letter to the CEO of sunshine, the service manager and Regional Homes of Bonitas along with 46 pictures of most of the issues and have not hear a word back. What kind of CEO receives that many issues/ photos and does not care to even respond. There are so many issues with this home and I have an attorney working on this now as this is a danger and hazard to my family. With mold growing everywhere and moisture through out the walls so bad that our light switch plates are wet. That is an electrical fire waiting to happen and yet it is not important enough for any of them to even respond. This shows how much these companies care about their customers and the products they put out.Business response

We have received your pictures and have reviewed them. I emailed the dealer back on 08-15-2024 that I would get a third party air expert that is familiar with this industry to come out and do an inspection and write a report to determine the cause of the problem. I have been in contact with him and he is scheduled out over the next several weeks. I am looking at other options to see if we can resolve this issue.
I will be in touch with the customer and get a date for an inspection asap.

Purchased our new Sunshine home on November 11, 2022. The home was delivered on November 18, 2022. The employees of Sunshine did not show up to do the inside finishing until 12:56 pm on December 14. They did not show up until 1:30 pm on December 15th. They left on December 18th stating that one of the employees had to get back home because of his daughter's Quin ceria and stated that the work was not completed but that he would be back after the 2 week vacation the company takes at Christmas. Since then we have not heard a word nor has the work been completed. We submitted the list of repairs and damage within the 30 days allotted and still have never had the home completed. Both exterior doors do not seal nor lock, there is light all around to the outside causing huge power bills, two windows in the kitchen do not seal and one shows fingerprints in between the panes so it can't be cleaned and there is visible moisture inside the panes, multiple scratches in master bathtub and shower from the employees using them to clean their equipment, torn flooring from the machines, when it rains there is a constant stream of water coming from the vent hood onto the stove (this in no doubt has now caused water damage in the attic to the trusses and insulation), a video of this was taken and sent showing the water pouring out of the vent hood onto the stove, the pasta arm is unusable even after running over 150 gallons of water through it, we cannot install ceiling fans or lights in many rooms due to unfinished work, no moisture barrier around shower so water has gotten down between the shower and the wall which will now have to be repaired, multiple cabinets soft close do not work and are coming off the hinges, tiles in kitchen and master bath are cracked, etc. There has not been any communication from this company. We have contacted them multiple times over months and get nothing but broken promises. Attorney has been made aware of this situation and legal action will be next.Business response

I need the serial number of the home and other info to be sure we are getting this taken care of.

We paid $212,000 for a sunshine home. When it was set up there were issues with the home. The contractor that works for sunshine signed and agreed these items need fixed and replaced. The home was delivered with the wrong furnace door. It needs a solid door to function properly. The rear door hinges were beat and bent trying to make the door fit and now need replacement. The rear storm door didn't fit and was destroyed trying to fit it and now needs replacement. Our original contact was *************************. He wouldn't do anything to fix the issue. Now we are trying to deal with *********************** who won't return our phone call or messages. This has been going on for months and we need our home finished. Both said they would get it fixed but neither have done it.Business response

I am the new service manager here at Sunshine. I don't show any record under this name in our system. The gentlemen he mentioned that he was in contact with no longer works here in our department.
I need the serial number of the home and if the home is actually under the name ********. I want to be sure that we are doing what we are supposed to under the warranty period of our homes.
If I can get this information I can follow up and get a resolution.

On 4/23/21, I paid full price for a Sunshine home, through its dealer ******* Homes in Summerdale, AL. Many upgrades, including metal roof and elevated ceilings, were paid for. The home was delivered in October 2021. Because the dealer was unaware of Baldwin County, AL requirements, no permit was obtained prior to delivery, which led to a cease and desist from Baldwin County until I was able to obtain necessary permits. At the time of delivery, it was apparent that there were numerous issues with the home, including bowed walls, severely inadequate roofing materials and craftsmanship, an undersized AC unit, cracking, incorrect doors, paint issues, missing materials, and warped moulding, to name a few. In early March 2022, after a mobile home permit was issued, I submitted a lengthy punch list of items, including detailed photographs. I have been trying since that time to have Sunshine and ******* address these problems. While workers have come out a few times, it has been sporadic at best, with lots of finger pointing between ******* Homes and Sunshine, and with only a few punch items being fixed. No one from Sunshine has ever been in contact with me, with ******* claiming that Sunshine will not respond to their inquiries. After sitting for months with an undersized AC unit and inadequate roof, we noticed lots of mold growing throughout more than 1 month ago, and I immediately contacted *******. A ******* contractor said this is the result of the inadequate roof leaking for months and undersized AC. This NEW home already needs significant remediation, yet nothing has been done in the last month. We pleaded with ******* to get with Sunshine and get all these issues fixed. We have a fully paid for home that is unlivable, covered with dangerous mold, and Sunshine has done nothing to address the many issues, despite knowing about them for 6 months or more. We cannot live in our new home.Business response
