I negotiated a boarding care for my dog Nina for the period of July 3, 2022 to July 10, 2022. I was not contacted during this period about any issues by the veterinary boarding clinic. Upon return and getting my dog between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM, The front desk lady mentioned that they had one dog that had cannel cough separated from the other dogs and he was complaining about that. I went home. I noticed my dog was a bit different, but didn't know what exactly. It didn't take more than 15 minutes, and my dog started coughing to the point she was practically vomiting. My dog was extremely tired and kept on coughing. I got to their website and put in a request for an appointment. Monday early morning I decided to call another veterinary clinic and I was informed that other dogs that had been there at Indian Hills were also showing up sick, and that Indian Hills was giving them medication to treat the problem. I called Indian Hills again, told them about the problem and they charged me $**. When I got the medication I complained about it and they gave me a 50% discount. My dog should have been treated for a sickness contracted at their facility ASAP and not waited for me to get her back and find out that now she was sick. This means that if I had an emergency and didn't show up, my dog would remain sick and without treatment. I am extremely upset with this and afraid that the boarding care does not look into maintaining the animal healthy, and did not observe her closely. I don't know if they have cameras and if they provided the full service we discussed. I had even agree to have her get a vaccine that she was due, and no proof of that and no information about this was given to me. This means my dog could have died in their care, because they were NOT doing what they said they would.
