The funeral home is holding proceeds from a burial association policy that my Mother had. She passed on August 15, 2022, and we are asking for the $500 benefit of the policy. We have paid another funeral home for every expense of my Mother's burial since Brazzel Oakcrest wasn't available at the time of death. Now I just want the proceeds of the policy to repay me for the monies I paid to Hixson Funeral Home.Business response

In short, yes, the problem was finally resolved. However, it was only after many complaints with several agencies, and constant calls, e-mails, and other requests to the funeral home that they finally settled. Ultimately we had to involve the state insurance regulators to get the funeral home to move on their end to send us the payment for the insurance policy we had. Thank you for checking with me on this matter, but I'm happy to say it's finally over!
