On 04/29/24 I bought a 24 Camry from Toyota. I put $12,000 down owing $24,588. I received a statement in the mail owing over $28,000. I went up there and the guy said I bought insurance for $3,886. I told him I didn’t want any extra insurance and reminded him that I even told him that the day I purchased the vehicle. I have returned about this matter twice, now being told it will take 3 months to be removed. On 06/11/24 I made a $4,000 payment. Went my next statement came in, it said I owed $24,045.33. I am a Vet who wears glasses and I feel like I’m being taken advantage of by this employee. I would like to see my $4,000 applied to my car balance. I also would like a return of the $129 service fee.

I bought a 2022 Toyota tundra on 9-8-23. It had 40,000 miles when I got it. I drove it 12,000 miles before the motor just shut off while I was driving on Saturday 5/18/24. Tried to start it and all you could here is the starter clank. I had it towed to the toyota dealership on Monday morning 5-20-24. They told me they would have to diagnose it but I should have a rental by the end of the day and they would call me. I never got a phone call so I decided to go up there around 4:00 pm and I was told the motor is definitely locked up but they are still waiting to hear from toyota corporate to approve the warranty fix. so he would call Me in the morning. The next day I waited untill 2:00pm and never got a call so I go back up there just for him to tell me that I would have to wait for the field technician from toyota corporate to break down the engine and do the full diagnoses but he won't be able to start until after Friday and it's typically a 3 week job. My manufacture power train warranty will cover the fix and includes a rental vehicle while it's in there shop. I use my truck to make money and if I don't have a truck, I can't make money to pay on the truck that will have to have it's third motor put in it. I find this to be absurd and unnecessary. They know the truck motor is blown and that it won't run so why wouldn't they try to take care of their customers rather than leaving them stranded, paying on an over priced broken, flawed truck as it sits in their shop collecting dust until the motor is torn down 3 weeks from now. I would have never expected this out of Toyota at all. The 3 weeks isn't even the worst part of the delimma. I'll be waiting 3 months for them to just fix the broken parts in the second flawed motor and reassemble and give it back to me with half of the original power train warranty coverage it gets when you buy it new. Seems like with thousands of these trucks blowing up multiple times, they should buy them all back. In absolute disbelief.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We are sorry for any inconvenience that you have experienced. After checking with our Service Manager he has advised that this vehicle was purchased at another dealership and the engine was replaced by that dealership. We are currently waiting on a FTS field rep to come inspect the vehicle. We are not sure if we can warranty it or if it will have to go back to the Texas dealership for the repairs. We are at a stand still until a field rep can come out and complete an inspection. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our Service Manager ***** ******** at ************.

In August of 2022 I bought a Kia Optima SXL from Gregg Orr Toyota. They told me the car had extensive work done, so I sign papers to finance the car at 664/m, with a credit card signed for a 2500 downpayment. The fourth day I had the car, all the dash lights went off. After two weeks, I was called back to the dealership to resign my agreement. The credit card falsified that my mother still lived in Chicago, when we live on 2** ****** ***** The credit card payments were $125/m when I was promised 67/m. Now, the car has been in the shop for a month in about 10 days, and there’s $2500+ in work alone for wiring harnesses, the transmission won’t shift, it’ll die in the middle of the road consistently the warranty hasn’t approved the claim, even being full coverage. I did DoorDash/Uber for 2 1/2 years, and now I have to work at a job where I don’t make enough to continue finance on the car. My mother is co-signed though, and says our family home is at risk, even with a voluntary repossession. I was sold a lemon I can’t do anything about, I’ve lost wages, and now likely have repairs I won’t be able to afford. I feel like I was set up for failure. I want them to buy the car back, I was supposed to have a full coverage warranty, and I’m not sure if that’s even the case. I can’t make my living for this vehicle if I can’t deliver food. I have no solutions and I’m losing time and money by the day. The dealership has been unresponsive about a replacement vehicle, and I have a video of the car malfunctioning on the fourth day, less than 1500 miles after purchase. If possible, I want the car taken back and I want the money I’ve made for payments on the car and credit card back, so I can purchase a reliable vehicle from a more reputable dealer. They absolutely screwed me over, and on the original loan, wanted above 50,000 instead of the 40,000 that Toyota itself agreed on after resigning. 4 cars from Gregg Orr and they’ve all been bad. I want my money back or I’m suing.

After reviewing the deal jacket Mr. **** signed the Retail Installment Contract on 07/29/22. The same day that the credit decision was approved by Toyota Financial Services. The unit was purchased "AS IS" as evidenced by signature on the attached. However, he did purchase a warranty through Portfolio. I checked with our Service Manager, and he does not have any record of having this unit in his service department after the purchase date. If you would like to schedule a service appointment, please reach out to our Service Manager, ***** ******** at 5**********0. If you have any questions or need anything else in this regard, please contact me directly at ************. Thank you.
