On July 16, 2024 at 9:00 AM, I took my 2014 Nissan Versa to McLarty Nissan to be serviced for AC issues. The AC would blow hot air upon initial start up and while idling and would blow cold air when the vehicle was in motion. McLarty contacted me and stated it was the compressor and fan motor for a total repair of $2100. I declined. Upon retrieving my vehicle the AC no longer blew cold air when the vehicle was in motion. I have no doubt that rhe service tech released frigerant from my vehicle's AC; whether intentional or accidental.Business response

I purchased a 2024 Nissan Altima from McLarty of Little Rock, Arkansas. I dont have tags for the car and the car is not legally in my name December 12. 2023 because McLarty has not done its job. I went to the Illinois DMV I was told if I get stopped in the New Altima it will come back as I am not legally entitled to the car. The temporay tags that supplied by the dealer expired on Feb 10, 2024. They have not registed the car nationwide and refuses to send me a temporary tag. Since Feb. 10, 2024 I have not been able to dirive the car since tags have expired and it will illegal to do so.Business response

Dear Investigator *******,
Our law firm represents McLarty Nissan of Little Rock, and I recently reviewed the complaint made by Mr. ***** about registering his vehicle in Illinois. McLarty Nissan uses a third-party vendor to facilitate registration outside of Arkansas. Each state is different and sometimes the registration requirements can slow the process. Nonetheless, McLarty regrets the delay and any inconvenience caused to Mr. *****. The vehicle has now been registered by IL-DMV to Mr. ***** via Reg USA. The package including the license plate and registration was delivered via FedEx, tracking #************, at the address on file for Mr. *****.
We believe this matter is now resolved, but if you have questions or need more information, please let me know.Sincerely,

I purchased a 2023 Nissan armada platinum from this dealership in May 2023. The dealership had a third party window tinting company tint the front windows on the vehicle. During the tinting process the company put an adhesive sticker on the leather surface of the door panel causing a permanent outline of the sticker to be etched in the leather surface. I contacted the dealership and was told by ******* **** that this was an issue on several other new vehicles as well. ******* told me that he would try some cleaners and let me know what worked to remove the damage. After trying different cleaners ******* told me that the outline could not be removed and that they would schedule an appointment to replace the door panel. In June 2023 I took the vehicle to the dealership to have the panel replaced. During this visit the dealership did not replace the panel instead they used a cleaner to dull the appearance of the damage in an intentional deliberate effort to hide the damage that they caused. I have contacted the dealer but they are not willing to fix the damage. Also the damage to the other vehicles was covered up as well and the dealership is knowingly defrauding innocent Arkansas customers by hiding the damage to those vehicles instead of replacing the door panels and resolving the issue. I have filed a complaint with Nissan Consumer Affairs and the Arkansas State Attorney General's office as well. Both agencies are actively working on a resolution to this as well.Business response

Dear Investigator Brunson,
Our law firm represents McLarty Nissan of Little Rock. I have reviewed the complaint made by Mr. ******* ********* about damage to the door panel of his vehicle caused by adhesive residue. While McLarty can understand Mr. *********’s frustration, McLarty is not trying to hide damage and is certainly not "knowingly defrauding" any customers. McLarty has reached out to Mr. ********* and has agreed to replace the door panel at no charge to him. The door panel has been ordered, but McLarty does not yet have an estimated delivery date due to ongoing delays in the supply chain for parts. McLarty will contact Mr. ********* about bringing in his vehicle once it has a delivery date for the part.
McLarty believes that this matter has been resolved and appreciates the work of the BBB. Should you need anything further from McLarty, please do not hesitate to contact me.Sincerely,

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 2*******, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me but I would like to further add that no one from the dealership has contacted me about this proposed resolution. In their response they state that they have been in contact with me but that is untrue. I’m not sure how to accept this without contact from the dealership.
Sincerely,

I bought a car - in 30 days the car battery died and my brakes were going out…. and I was told to pay $245.98 for a new battery plus labor even though I purchased an extended warranty. On April 3, 2023 Mclarty Nissan did an inspection on my vehicle I just bought and I was told today after bringing the car back to the dealership because of the battery issue and brake issue and btw today is May 12, 2023 fyi….regarding my brakes I was told today that on the initial inspection on done on my car April 3, 2023 the brakes should have been done and they hadn’t been done, so today they claimed they could fix the brakes but I would have to pay for the battery, last I had a piece of rubber hanging from the front on my car the day i bought it and brought it back up here a week later and I was also told that piece cost $500.00 and they wouldn’t fix that either!!!! ….. I feel like I’ve been scammed and sold a LEMON! Don’t buy a car from here because you will regret it! I feel like they sold me a lemon and my car salesman didn’t give a one care about the lemon he sold me…he asked me today with a smirk on his face - “ you can’t afford a battery?” His name is David H. And the Service Employee who gave me the quote attached her name is ****** She said I was frustrating her- the audacity! I’m a hard working single parent all I wanted was to get my car repaired like it should have been done before I bought it!Business response
