I've been requesting to get my work accommodation letter signed from my psychiatrist for the past 3 1/2 months they will not sign it. Their excuse is that they need to get to know me first, but if you're prescribing me medicine, you must know me pretty well.Business response

Hello.
It is our company policy to allow time for providers to feel comfortable making recommendations for any disability consideration or accommodation based on medical necessity. In this particular case, there has been a change in providers and the new providers needs more time to have a clearer perspective about the medical condition to make adequate and appropriate recommendations for accommodation. It is not the decision of the patient to force a provider to write a letter. The provider needs to feel that the accommodation is clinically relevant to the need of the patient and is inline with the treatment progression. Being seen for only 2 appointments is not enough interaction for a provider to endorse any recommendations. If the request for accommodation does not meet appropriate standards, best practices, and clinical appropriateness, then there will be a delay in the provider putting their professional name on an official recommendation.

I am undergoing extreme medication issues and they keep double booking me and pushing my appointments out. This is the 3rd separate instance in where I am left in a dangerous position with ineffective medication and they jwst forced me to give up my appointment, despite the medical necessity. This type of behavior, especially with mental health, is extremely reckless with flagrant disregard for my wellbeing. They are NEVER available to speak over the phone, making it impossible for live communication.Business response

Hello. I am not sure what the client is looking for. The client has already initiated proceedings to cancel future appointments and move on to another facility/provider. There is nothing actionable at this point once the client has initiated leaving the practice. We wish the individual success with their new provider. FYI. We do see the client's family member, and the experience is completely contrary to how the complainant is portraying his own experience. In general we have a healthy experience with many of our patients. Some people are just never happy if they do not receive every possible accommodation they want. We priority is to support each and every client we can. Again, we wish the client success with their new facility/provider.
