Purchased my first car from a dealership 7/8/2023-Freedom Auto in ******* ******* ***** Traverse-down payment was $1,800.00-monthly payments of 355.80-Total cost financed 14,627.00 w/ 24 Month ASC Warranty 1st break down w/complete loss of power on interstate going uphill was Fri. 9/7/23-Was towed home as dealership shop closed. Dealership shop response when we reached them during business hours Monday was they were busy and could look at it in 3 weeks or due to warranty it could go to a shop of our choice-warranty only covered ****** of tow-and tow was 9/14 **************** was unable to find issue, car was returned the 25th. No more codes at no cost-Time without transportation-18 days-tow cost out pocket $247.50 Second Breakdown 10/6/23 same issue while driving uphill - towed back to Freedom Auto dealership shop 10/16/23 Mechanic called and stated he cleared all codes including the one he had never seen before and did not know what it was but he couldn't duplicate it and drove it 34 miles without issue and so stated he couldn't find an issue. When picking it up 10/20/23 I spoke to manager regarding unsafe car sold to me-he informed me there was no issue with the car-when asked about the codes his mechanic cleared he tried to convince me his mechanic didn't clear any codes-I then provided him the code sheet the receptionist provided with the bill for diagnostics and clearing codes for $154.50-he called mechanic over who verified the codes on arrival including one he doesn't know what it is, Manager asked him if he could look it up. He did and read it off to him and again stated he has never seen that code and doesn't know what causes it. Freedom Auto Dealership Shop Manager then recommended we take it to Chevrolet shop the next time there were issues-They could also try to put me in a different car with an additional and larger down payment and payments. They approved me for a loan took my deposit $1000 . Signed contract telling me I'm approved and gave me the car. On the way home I got flat tires and had to go buy two new tires the same day costing me $480 because they sold me bad tires. Then they called me next month telling me I need to pay a deferred payment of $500 towards deposit on top of my $500 car payment. So I paid them $1000 my first month. Then they called me telling me I have to *** down a sign something. I asked them to fax it theysaid no I have to drive down there again . So I drove an hour down to dealership and signed a paper theysaid was just to fix the spedo.eter reading because it was wrong on the initial paperwork. . After that they started blowing up my phone asking for more pay stubs. I told them no to stop harassing me iwork every day and dot need to send more stubs they already got three moths worth and my bankaccount information and iv already had car for overa month. I'm approved stop bugging me . I made my payments on time. I made my next payment then a tow truck driver took my car while it was in my possession they claimed they suspected fake pay stubs. I went down there asked for my belongings back the refused. I asked for money back for my tires they refused. To make it worse the salesman said if I wasn't approved the car is free so I told him wheres my free car then and he just laughed. So how can a business sign a contract and steal my money and my belongings and then steal the car back? Do contracts mean nothing? And my pay stubs are real I fo havea real job. They stole my money my belongings two bran new tires and my car from me
