a remanufactured Transmission was originally installed September 13, 2019, amount paid for initial service was $4,000.00 and remanufactured transmission is stated on invoice to have a 3-year (36 month)/100,000 mile limited warranty. Since initial installation, transmission has never shifted correctly, and has been returned several times for service, first time was to discuss installation of a transmission cooler unit because transmission was shifting hard and running hot. second time returning for service was because transmission fluid pan was leaking at the gasket, technicians inspected the unit deeming trans pan bolts loosened over time causing leakage. transmission cooler was installed by another garage with approval from AAMCO stating this would not void the warranty. Transmission still runs warm despite cooler installation. On May 12th, 2022, while truck was sitting idle at a stop light, a loud screeching noise could suddenly be heard from the transmission unit followed by rapid metal clinking noises. truck was parked for a short time after and AAMCO was contacted requesting a diagnosis under warranty. ***** with AAMCO made it very clear any diagnosis or repairs would NOT be covered under warranty, while on the phone he made comments suggesting a bolt had backed itself out in the transmission unit. When informed I would be taking it to a garage that I trust, ***** became immediately agitated, repetitively screaming into the phone, the call was abruptly ended. A visual inspection of the torque converter from the inspection port on the lower side of the transmission showed obvious signs of wear in the form of metal scraping against the torque converter peeling off paint. Truck was returned to Auto1 for diagnosis and repair. diagnosis included a Transmission fluid pump bolt having backed itself out causing it to rub against the torque converter causing damage to the unit as mentioned previously by the Manager at AAMCO. Cost to replace the damaged bolt - $1000.75

On *****-21 brought vehicle to Aamco because I thought there might be something wrong with the transmission they replaced earlier in the year .Was told transmission was fine but that a I needed a tune-up bad..Noticed on ***** that the valve cover plate where the replaced the plugs and wires was not tapped down all the way. ***** brought vehicle back to Aamco went and looked at the valve cover plate with their mechanic, asked if they stripped a bolt while the replaced the valve cover, he no , it was already broke, I said no it was not like that when I brought it in. Then I asked if that would cause I problem to the plugs and wires, he said no, not unless you have a leak and they pointed that I had a leak..at this point I said I said I was done, because they did not tell me on ***** that the valve cover plate was broken or that I had a leak. Took vehicle to ********* ***** to fix leak and I was told that the bolt was stripped and that it caused the bolt hole to be broke which means the plate not the cover would need to be replaced to fix the problem which is an expensive repair. The fact that Aamco did not tell me the plate was broken or that I had a leak which could cause a problem to tune -up they did, is why I am filing a complaint
