One star is too much for these thieves!My husband and I booked the Footsteps of ***** Tour for late November 2023. The trip was canceled and Maranatha informed us that we would receive our refund in April 2024. Last month they said that they would not be able to honor the refunds after they kept us hanging on for 8 months. Since our trip was scheduled for late November more that 6 months after the crisis began, they did not have to spend any of the almost $8000 that we paid to them.They represent themselves as a ***************** but how can giving your clients who trusted you nothing for the ******* saved up money they gave you for the trip of their life-time. At 78 years of age and on a fixed income our dreams will not be fullfilled we cannot save that amount of money in this lifetime. ********Review from Rita T

Company will not refund deposits for scheduled trips when policy states they will refund all but $100 when cancelled within timeframe. DO NOT use Maranatha Tours Inc. this business should have its Better Business accreditation revoked!Review from John C

We booked a trip to ****** for March 2025. Due to a lack of status updates from Maranatha we decided to cancel our trip. I informed them that I was cancelling our tour, but as of now (over a month later) our custom tour is still listed as being available on the web site. Fortunately we had only paid about half of the total, so we are not out as much money as other are. The idea that they continue to take reservations and deposits while refusing to offer any refunds (full or partial) is unacceptable. They also recommend Travelex travel insurance, which we paid for, when they know full well that Travelex excludes coverage for war. There is no way I could recommend them as a tour company.Review from Christine P

I had an Israel trip scheduled for this November 2024. They just emailed and said they canceled the trip. I wrote to them numerous emails. I called no response distress that this is causing is incredible. The least to say to call yourself a ********* based company is despicable. Also waiting on a refund from a trip deposit paid last year in 2023. My numerous e-mails and respectful inquiries repeatedly ignored and avoided. The most recent reply stated a mess of legal terms and how not everyone was getting a refund. How does the business cherry pick who gets a refund? I had to reach out at least a handful of times before receiving that vague reply and all other communication was indirect and lacked any resolve. An extremely frustrating experience in the least and not sure how to get any help as their phone number continually transfers to automated messages. I will definitely not book future trips with this group. Terribly disappointed and feel duped.Review from Cheryl B

We booked the Holy Land Tour in July 2023 and paid a deposit of $1000.00. On 9/15/2023 we paid an additional $3502.00. We also paid $426.00 to ****************** Services for travel insurance, which was advised by this tour company, in July when we paid our deposit, but our claim was denied due to war. This tour was scheduled to depart on 1/22/2024 and return on 1/31/2024 but was cancelled on 12/2/2023 and we still have not received our refund. This is totally unacceptable. The company will not answer phone calls. They sent us a few reply emails stating they were working on the refunds but did not know when we will receive them.It has now been 6-1/2 months since the tour was cancelled.How can this company keep our money and not be held accountable?Review from Norma D

We booked a tour through this agency. The trip to ****** was cancelled due to war. We were told our refund would be Dec 2023, then got changed to April 2024. Its now May , we have not received our refund. You have a non working phone when try to call them . They do not respond to your emails. I do not recommend this tour agency. They will take your money. I too fully paid for a trip to ****** in September 2023. The tour was canceled in December 2023 and I am still waiting on a refund of $6042. This is totally unacceptable. It is also my understanding they have continued to book tours and have money coming in, but cannot refund money due to clients that have already paid for canceled tours. I do not recommend them as a tour company.Review from Robynne C

I am extremely disappointed with the services provided by Maranatha tours. I planned a trip for the end of November and was requested to make a payment by 10/10 in order to purchase tickets. I sent payment via Zelle along with a check for the balance. However, on 10/7, there was a terrorist attack on ******, resulting in the cancellation of the trip by the ***************** Despite this, my balance was still posted on 10/11, after the declaration of war. Not only was I not refunded, but I was also only given empty promises of receiving a refund once they themselves received refunds. This is unacceptable and I expect to be fully refunded for the trip that was canceled due to circumstances beyond my control.
