3/15/2022 I had the windshield replaced in my truck. They put the shade strip on wrong so I paid out of pocket to get it done right. My insurance paid for the winshield. When the guy came to re-do the tint strip, I noticed cut trim mouldings, damaged door panel, and chips in my roof. Also the trim has globs of urethane oozing out. Was told by insurance *** to take it back and show them at the shop. I did and they denied and said we didn't do that, it was already like that. My truck is in ,or was, excellent condition. Complete repaint 2 years ago. After the "arguement" with the manager of the shop and his co-worker. I left and called ****** and he said he would look into it. Left message 2 days ago. Nothing. I want my truck fixed to original. *** not want A-Plus to get anywhere near it. Very, very bad company to do business with.Business response

When A Plus replaced ****************** windshield he asked for his tint strip to be 2" below his mirror bracket. When he told us it was wrong we offered to fix the strip for him. He did call and state over a week later that there was damage. Again we spoke and asked him to bring to the our shop so we can see what he felt we damaged. When the truck was at our office we reviewed the said damaged and took photos of said damage. The damage to the top of his roofline where the windshield and roof meet were rock chips the same type of damage that caused his windshield to crack in the first place. The door panel had visible damage, but was not near the scope of the work that was performed. The trim panels he clams the tech damaged showed no visible damage. ************** put a claim into his insurance company and A Plus was in contact with them. When we showed his insurance company the photos and said damage caused by tech they dropped the claim. A Plus has the best warranty for workmanship in the business and on occasions have replaced or repaired damage that was done in the process of replacing or repairing a windshield. Our Technicians have over 60 years of combined experience and will let you know if something went wrong during a replacement or repair. In this case the damage was not caused by A Plus Auto Glass.Customer response

Wow. I cannot believe they actually denied all the damage. I went there to show the damage and got the bully tactics and somehow Safelite got involved. They paid for me a rental car and *********************** painted the roof, R&R the windshield and replaced the mouldings they GLUED DOWN. I was an instructor in the Auto Glass industry for 8 years. I was certified by the National Auto Glass Society and the National Auto Glass Association. I know exactly how my truck was damaged and the short cuts they took and how INEXPERIENCED the technician was. Yes, we called them technicians not installers. The person who replied saying they have 60? years experience in auto glass? They didn't say how many different company's they've worked for and collectively 60 yrs. I can't buy that. But, thanks A-Plus Auto Glass for putting me through the hassle of getting my truck fixed to my satisfaction by true experienced professionals. I would say none of you or your "installers" not "technicians" should be in the industry. And because of the treatment I received, and the bad attitude of ******* and his ***** the day I went to let them look at it, I honestly suggest they choose a different profession as they are not equipped to deal with the public when a problem arises.
