I met Saguaro Solar at the Sahba Home Show October 2023. I wanted solar panels with battery backup. I reviewed several firms. Finally, I selected Saguaro Solar in January 2024 and put down a $16,000 deposit on a system that would reach a cost of approximately $53,000. I wanted to buy local. I trusted the sales rep. The sales rep stopped communicating and nothing was happening. I was told she had a critical illness and was on leave. The sales manger took over, but really dropped out of site after design was completed. The plans were finally drawn up in March 2024 for approval by my HOA, Trico Electric and the Town of Marana. It took several weeks but all the plans were approved. I was now obligated to pay another $16,000, which I did. I was told install could happen in June or July. I have had to beg to get work done. I also paid $980 for critter guard by check around the panels. Text and phone calls go unanswered. Have a massive number of utility boxes and conduit all unconnected on one of my, exterior walls. Wait more weeks. New ops group comes and installs conduit in attic. Wait several more weeks have solar panels installed Aug 16 unconnected to anything. Keep getting we'll get back to you - even by end of day. I am 71 years old. The anxiety and stress of this is impacting my sleep and blood pressure. There is a potential loan through Saguaro for the balance. This has been going so slow I had to resign loan papers two weeks ago. I have been told in between the lines that this is happening because of shake up in solar industry. I am at wits end. They have a complete lack of communication and customer service. They are all over social media offering discounts. The just installed electric chargers down the street from me at The Dove Mountain RItz Carlton. The keep pumping on social media how great they are and here I am 9 months later getting ill over this.Customer response

Dear BBB Tucson -Steps have been made by Saguaro Solar LLC to remediate the delays on installation since I filed the complaint. While I understand the turmoil in the solar industry right now, all of this could have been more easily solved through more effective communication. Both owners of Saguaro Solar - Noe and Doug have reached out to me. Since my complaint panels and batteries have been installed along with the complex electrical wiring. Awaiting some additional work and have started a punch list of things that still need to be done, along with approvals from the Town of Marana and TRICO. Signed contrat with Saguaro Soalr two months ago. Had subsequent hail damage to roof and advised the business to put install/TEP application on hold. Roof/hail repairts completed this last week (Nov 8, 2022). Advised Saguaro Solar "project coordinator', ********* ********, by phone that we are ready for install/scheduling. I have emailed 3 X and called the office and each time have been promised a return call, but no such call or email back to me. This is non-compliance with stated and written contract that we would be advised/updated/ and receive timely iupdates to the project. A wholly unprofessional company which needs to give us a refund of deposit $$.Customer response

The company has responded and explained the reasonable circumstances around the lack of project communication.
I want to applaud the company for calling us/emailing us and providing a full refund without a cancellation fee.
Please close this complaint with a highly satisfied resolution.
