23. April I ordered some parts for my car (screenshot_20240705_200248) I waited until 3rd of May to call as I had not received any confirmation of shipment. I was then told that the pistons in the order were on backorder and would be 2-3 weeks to get in. I told **** (can be spelled *****, never actually got an email with a name attached to it) on the phone that I could not wait this long for parts as I need to fix my car. So the parts in stock (gasket set and timing chain) was sent just a few days later, and arrived timely after this.After checking with several other companies for the pistons all were out of stock.So called them back (took ***** tries to get someone on the phone) I also asked for if they had other parts in stock, that I was recommended to change at the same time as changing the pistons. After a long conversation and them checking availability for shipping right away, they sent me an invoice for those parts.After waiting some time and not getting any shipping information again, I called again( 27th of June) to ask why the parts were not sent yet. In which I got the reply that he did not know why the parts had not been sent yet as they were in stock and he said he would check and call me back within a few hours. I have since tried for days to a hold of someone there and have met nothing but answering machines.I have added the call history (I'm sorry it is in Norwegian) screenshot_20240705_200143 that shows how many times per today I tried calling. There are also some calls placed from within the ** that are not added here.Screenshot_20240705_200038 shows the final updated order in which only the first two items have been shipped and have arrived.Most of all I want my parts as I need my car but if the parts aren't available as they said then at least I want my money back to order somewhere else. Also my postal code is only four digits 3160, but I had to put a 1 before to move forward.Initial Complaint

I purchased over $1000 ******* approved performance parts for my vehicle through Mountune. This means they'll pass smog *************, and that's why I bought their parts instead of parts I can't legally use in my state. One of the parts throws a check engine light, meaning it won't pass smog and isn't working properly. Before ever contacting Mountune, I made sure the problem was with the part and not my installation by reverting to the factory part. The part in question is a silicone induction hose. It's definitely the part they sent me that's causing the light as the problem is not present with the stock part. The hose they sent me is leaking. So, I contact them, they send me detailed instructions on how to install it (it's two pipe clamps and a hose fitting, hard to install it wrong), but to be a good sport, I reinstalled it while following their instructions to a T (which, incidentally, is how I installed it in the first place). The problem reappeared, and when I reverted it to stock again, it disappeared. Clearly, they sent me a faulty part. I purchased the part on May 28, 2022. I have since been in a customer service war of attrition. As of August 18, 2022, they have stopped replying to me. Performance car parts typically do not come with a warranty, but surely a company would offer a refund or replacement when the part they sent has never worked as advertised. I have been nothing but kind and patient with them, and am surprised at how a company with such a respected reputation can treat a customer like this. I would have accepted a replacement part before, but I'm honestly so annoyed that I no longer want it, and simply want my money back. The precedent they have set with this transaction tells me that if someone buys a part through Mountune, there is no guarantee that it will function, and no chance of getting a refund.Initial Complaint

Order #***** Date of transaction: 05/31/2022 Amount of transaction: $1260.21 What the business committed to provide you: mountune Clubsport Suspension Upgrade - 2013-2018 Focus ST Nature of dispute: I placed an order on 05/31/2022 and afterwards was notified that the item was backordered, which wasn't indicated on the website. After multiple email and phone call attempts, I could not get a status of the order or anticipated ship date. After my emails were ignored, I sent an email asking to cancel the order and provide a refund which finally got someone's attention and they responded that the item was still backordered. I requested a refund and my order was cancelled on July 11th. I was told that I should receive the refund in 14 business days. It has now been over 30 business days and I still haven't received my refund. I've sent multiple emails and attempted to contact the business via phone but receive no response.
