Allergic Reaction to Eye cream. I tried to reach out to the dermalactives customer support and everything they said was so crazy because I personally worked for manufacturing plants for the last five years and they try to tell me that my allergic reaction had no ties with their manufacturing plant in southern **********. Well, yes it does because its their product. Secondly, the customer *** is terrible, try to turn this around on her like I should be concerned about them. Im just trying to ***ort my allergic reaction and she told me on Monday that I will get a follow up email to see if they could contact the business that sold this to me in Pleasontan mall and never followed up. I will attach copies of the crazy emails that they sent me as well because I couldnt believe how terrible this customer services trying to put the blame on me when I didnt do anything wrong. I had an allergic reaction with their product. This company should not be in business. If I want to, I could sue them and shes trying to act like theres no ties to the manufacturing plant when this product that I had an allergic reaction to was made there this is the craziest worst **************** Ive ever seen.Business response

We acknowledge receipt of this grievance. The consumer contacted us requesting a refund of the product she purchased. We tried to explain to her that we did not sell her the product and that she would need to contact the store, which is unaffiliated with our company. We further provided her with an example referencing *********. If a consumer purchases a shirt from ***** and gets a rash, the consumer would return the shirt to ***** to request a refund not to the company who made the shirt. Refunds are provided by the retailer since that is who sold the product to the consumer. We are merely the manufacturer.
As the manufacturer, our products, including the eye cream, go through rigorous testing and quality control processes. Our ingredients are listed on the product. It is up to the consumer to verify that they do not have allergies to any of the listed ingredients. As the manufacturer, we sell our products to various retailers, who then sell the products to the end consumer. Refunds are the responsibility of the retailer, as they are the ones who received the payment for the product, and had the business relationship with the consumer.
We hope that this clarifies our position, and the lack of control over whether an unaffiliated company (the store) will provide a refund. With that said, we have independently reached out to the retailer to relay this consumers request for a refund. If you have any other questions or concerns, please let me know. I am embarrassed to say that I was caught by this scam. I was targeted at our local mall by a very warm sales woman. She lured me in with promises of free samples. Then another sales person came right into my face and started fast talking, hard selling about $1500 worth of product. She was talking so quickly that I asked her to slow down and explain exactly what she was trying to sell. She told me that no one had ever, ever, ever told her she was confusing before, implying that I was an idiot. When I told her that I seriously doubted that, she walked away in a ****. I did then purchase the initial sample set for $425 (gasp!) with the promise of a "free" facial. I have no intention of following up for fear of an even more aggressive sales pitch which would undo any benefit of the "facial". Please don't fall for this scam!Business response

4-11-23 I WAS ON VACATION VISITING FAMILY IN *******, **. WE WENT SHOPPING IN **********, ** WHEN THIS EXTREMLY AGGRESSIVE SALEPERSON LITERALLY DRAGGED ** INTO THE STORE OF A SKIN SPA.THEY THEN PROCEEDED TO PUSH VERY AGGRESSIVELY THIS PRODUCT FOR AROUND THE **** TO LIFT AND GET RID OF *******. THEY PUT THE SAMPLE ON MY **** AND KEPT PUSHING FOR ME TO BUY 2 FOR 1 WITHA MASSIVE DISCOUNT. EACH TIME I SAID NO THEY KEPT LOWERING THE ****** SAID YOU ONLY TO NEED TO USE IT 1X PER WEEK, THEY JUST KEPT PUSHING. NEXT THING I KNOW I'M LEAVING WITH THIS PRODUCT. A FEW HOURS LATER THE SAMPLE ON MY **** STARTS FLAKING OFF AND ITCHING MY **** AND MAKES THEM WATER. SO I WASHED THE REST OFF. NEXT DAY I GO BACK TO RETURN THE ***** THAT I NEVER OPENED, STORE IS CLOSED. I CALL THEM FOR THE REMAINING 3 DAYS I'M IN *******, STILL NO ANSWER, STORE STILL CLOSED. I LEFT THE PRODUCT AND RECEIPT WITH MY SON TO RETURN AND HE HAS BEEN UNABLE TO SPEAK TO ANY MANAGER OR THE STORE IS CLOSED. THIS IS WHOLE DEAL IS A BIG SCAM AND THE PRODUCT FLAKES OFF IN HOURS AND MY SKIN IS CLEARLY ALLERGIC TO IT.I WANT MY MONEY BACK, THE COMPLETE ******!Business response

I am rejecting this response because: As the manufacture your "brand" is being represented in a terrible way by this particular retailer in **********, **. As the manufacture you can certainly step in and either refund the purchase price to me yourselves or contact the retailer and make a strong recommendation that they address my problem and refund my cost. As the manufacture whose does nothing, you are allowing your products to be misrepresented and your name to be highly unfavorable!I have since read other BBB complaints and online reviews that are not praise worthy of your company. Since I have appealed to you because of no help from the retailer, I feel as the manufacture you can most certainly step in and resolve this issue for me. That would be considered good customer service from a brand/manufacture who cares not only about their name and products, but also about the customers who purchase them!!

I would recommend you contact that retailer or complain directly to them, you did business with them. not with us.
We, as the manufacture will check how that retailer received our products and if necessary will stop supply.
but that will not resolve your issue and our recommendation is to contact the retailer directly.

I am rejecting this response because: Per my last response, I have tried several times to contact the retailer before I returned home to *********. My son has also been trying to contact the retailer by calling and visiting the store since I do not live in **********, **. He too has been unable to speak to anyone. I stand by my assessment, that as the manufacture YOU DO HAVE CONTROL over the individual retailers and how they conduct business when it concerns your products! If you can guarantee a 30 day return policy on your products, then you should be instructing the retailers to carry that same policy when they are selling your products. YOU CAN issue me a refund because it is your product, you are simply choosing to not get involved! I call that poor business practice. Your company and your retailers are not concerned about customers, but only concerned about money and I wish I had known of the warning reviews/videos to purchase Dermalactive products prior to the ****** aggressive sales pitch!!!

When the product was ************ and ********** There was stayed a money back guarantee. I was told if I wanted a refund to contact the company through the website. When I did this because the product u received was not what was demonstrated. The company refuses to do anything.
