I visited ******************** (An Endodontist) on 8-11-2023 on a referral from my regular dentist. I was to be evaluated for needing a root canal. He did an evaluation and determined I needed a root canal. I was hesitant on getting it done right away but he said if I schedule it now he would roll the cost of the evaluation into the cost of the root canal.I returned to ******************** on 9-8-2023 to get the root canal done and paid for the root canal in full minus insurance coverage of about 50 percent. On 10-01-2023 I now am getting a bill for the cost of the evaluation ($132) because the insurance didn't pay it. I didn't expect to pay this because the Dr. said to me it would be rolled into the cost of the root canal procedure. I have called the office and the office staff refused to cancel the charge. I then requested the office staff to ask the Dr. to call me to discuss. I've not received any call from him.This lying to your patient about rolling the cost of the evaluation into the root canal cost just to get me to have the root canal procedure done right away is not right and highly unethical. ******************** should honor what he told me and cancel the $132 dollar charge for the evaluation that I'm being billed for immediately.
