I had purchased the house in February of 2022 and was informed of new installation of A/C and furnace during the home inspection. In the summer of 2022, the A/C was not cooling the house so I had called for service using the HomeGuard Warranty which was provided by the seller during escrow. Technician came out to refill the refrigerant. In the summer of 2023, the ** was still not working so I called home warranty again. This time they were suspecting a freon leak but the home warranty would not cover the fix since it was not part of the coverage. I had reached out to the home seller to receive the HV** installer information/receipt and contacted HartVickson company. I got on a call with **** who seems to be the owner and installer of the unit at the house and he was unapologetic and started getting aggressive when I explained the situation. He was asking how do I know that there is a freon leak and that if someone had come out to do the service then that person could have done the damage and it is not his responsibility to fix it. He said the labor warranty is voided due to having someone else take a look and he was blaming me at fault for not contacting him in the first place. He even went as far as saying, I do not care about you, I care about myself when I said he should care about his work and customer. I had to find my own technician to try to remedy the situation. I called technician and they were able to find the pipe leak in the garage next to the furnace when hydrogen was inserted. They showed me that the pipe was not properly sealed during installation and you can evidently see the gap between the pipe joint where the gas was leaking. It cost $2,300 to properly seal the pipe and fill the unit with refrigerant with pressure testing and now the A/C works!I strongly demand that Hartvickson license be rebuked and I am given full refund of the cost of fixing the HV** system of $2,300 plus the cost of calling out all of the technicians and service fees.
