On May 25, 2022 I visited Twin Pines Dental to have a tooth prepared for a permanent crown. On June 14, 2022, I went back to Twin Pines to have the procedure completed and my permanent crown placed. On May 25, 2022, I asked the dentist, Nikos **********************, if he could bill me the amount he was going to charge me for the dental work as the amount he quoted me out of pocket was pretty high ******. He told me no he would not bill me and would like payment upfront. I refused to pay the entire payment as I knew it was high, so he agreed to allow me to pay a portion of it ****** and expected the rest of the payment when I returned for the permanent crown. I agreed to partial payment and worked things out with my insurance company for the next visit. The insurance company's claim out of pocket was ******, so going to my next appointment I expected to be reimbursed ******. When I went to my next amount, I brought in all the documentation showing the amount of the claim. He refused to look at the claim. In addition, he charged me ****** on June 14th or he would not finish the job. At that point, I felt like I was between a rock and a hard place as I needed the dental work finished, so reluctantly paid the ******. When I got home from my dentist appointment, I filed a grievance with my insurance company. A few weeks later, I receive a reimbursement check for ******. It was ****** short of what should have been reimbursed, so my husband tried to talk with him about it on August 2, 2022. Dr. ********************** is refusing to pay the rest and fired our whole family as patients. After all of this occurred, I called my insurance company to add to my previous grievance. I called a family member who is a patient of Dr. ********************** too, and he started looking at all of his charges through the years. My family member discovered that Dr. ********************** has overcharged their family ******* out of pocket. This is an unacceptable business practice, and Dr. ********************** is stealing. I am sure we are not the only ones
