      I was a member of Fitness 19 Gym many years ago. Almost ********************************** the area and canceled my membership. (The gym had me call an 800 number to cancel and I was assured it was canceled). I had an automated payment setup to my checking account. The payments stopped for a while, then I noticed a few years later, that they had been collecting $12 a month for a while. I called Fitness 19 and they said they had no cancelation on file and I cancelled again. Later, they started collecting again, this time under a new business name of *** Fitness. I started disputing the changes with my bank, but *** continues to charge my bank account every month. I called again today and they said there is no cancellation on file and I need to bring my account current and pay a cancellation fee or they won't cancel the account.I need them to stop billing me and cancel my account. I've paid over $1,000 over the past 10 years for a membership I have not used, and they never cancel or stop auto deducting from my account after multiple attempts. I am out of options and need help.

      Fitness 19 in ****** ** closed the gym in Dec 2022. I did not go to the gym that month but the charged me the monthly fee $10.00 and the year membership fee of ***** total $59.95 and I want the money back because they did not preform any services the gym was closed.Thanks

      My husband and I have been members of Fitness 19 in ****** for over 15 years which was within walking distance from our home. We received an email on 12/9/22 that they were closing this location and transferring our membership on 12/14/22 to their ********* or ************** locations. Both locations are a 20+ minute drive from where we live so we made the decision to cancel our membership. We sent email notice of membership cancellation on 12/13/22 and explained the reason was due to the commute to their other locations and asked them to refund the 2023 membership fee of $39.95 that we were charged on 12/5/22 which was just 4 days prior to receiving their email notification of the ****** facility closure. They refused to refund the $39.95 2023 fee. Fitness 19 decided it was good business practice to charge some members their 2023 yearly dues just days ahead of closing which we feel is unacceptable and unethical business practice since they were well aware of their decision to close the ****** location long before they decided to notify members by giving them a 1 week notice knowing that many members would cancel their membership.

      I signed my kids up for Fitness 19 at the Oak Avenue location on September 12th and then I joined on November 22nd. On December 9th we were notified via a posted letter on the door that this particular location would be closing on December 15th. I cancelled all of our memberships immediately as the only reason we joined that location was that the kids could ride their bikes there. I asked for our membership sign up fees (not monthly fees) and annual dues to be refunded based on the fact that management knew fully that the lease was not going to be renewed at the time they signed us up and charged those additional fees. We never would have joined otherwise. The annual fees are for club improvements and not only were we there only a few weeks, but nothing was ever done to improve the facility. I believe this was fraudulent on their part.

      We emailed them to cancel 2 memberships, we mailed in our access cards and they continue to harass us with phone calls to pay for our membership that has already been cancelled months ago.
