06/8/22 My 2008 328i *** was towed to Monzon Garage to have the crankshaft sensor replaced. I purchased the sensor from Auto Zone. I talked to *** who advised me to return the part because it was too much work to install that part. On 8/24/22 my car was having trouble starting so I took it to Auto Zone and got a printout of the problem codes and the crankshaft sensor was an issue. So I contacted *** and asked him does the warranty cover the replacement, he said he will look at it, so I had it towed to their shop. On 8/25/22 I got a text that my car is all done and it will be $135.00 and the gaskets were able to be used again and they will not charge me for labor. I asked, isn't covered by the warranty he said it's the difference in cost because it's ***. I then told him didn't he get the *** part last time. He said he got a European brand made aftermarket and the new one was from the dealership. So I looked up prices online and part *** was at most ****** and I called ****************** and got a quote of $148.00. So I contacted the shop and they said they didn't know the cost was a factor! I said who would want to pay more for a part? I asked for them to send me the work order from *** they emailed me my work order which is attached. So to top it off the next day after I picked up my car my radiator cracked. So I don't know if they intentionally messed up my car!!!!
