I was supposed to have a kidney stone procedure on August 24 2021. I had to deposit a $1000 for my part of the procedure cost. When they did a scan prior to the procedure, no kidney stone was found. I was released without having any surgery. They billed BCBS for the scan. I have inquired at least once a month since September 2021 to find out about my deposit. I contacted BCBS about this claim, and was told there was a billing code problem from the surgical center so they could not pay the center. On July 19 2022, there was a 3 way conservation between BCBS, the surgery center, and myself. The surgery center said they would resubmit the bill and reimburse me once they got paid. I called BCBS on September 6 2021 to see if the resubmitted bill was paid, only to find out the surgery center never resubmitted the bill. BCBS called the surgery center and said the surgery center refused to resubmit. BCBS is bringing this up to their board of supervisors. I am still out my deposit which BCBS said I should get the whole thing back.
