On Saturday 11/12/2023 we came to get information regarding *************** assistance program that is through the ****** of ********** Repair. We had a check engine light on our vehicle & knew our vehicle was going to fail the smog. Before paying for the smog we asked if this place worked with the *** program and we were told YES. This location has signs posted showing information regarding the *** program. ***** explained to us that we'd need to pay for smog check first in order to provide that information to B.A.R and once BAR had the failed smog report they'd begin the process. We submitted our application top B.A.R and were approved. My husband came to this location on 11/22/2023 & was told by a technician he'd need to bring the vehicle in when ***** is in. I came today 11/25/2023 and spoke to ***** only to be told we'd need to bring it in on a weekday (he only works ******************* I explained to ***** that my husband brought the car in on a ************ were referred back to him. He then went on to say that many people do not want to work with the *** program. Which is odd since this place has more than one sign posted inside its establishment about the *** Program leading consumers to believe they do work with the program. ***** told me he'd call the weekday technician to get a response for me, and today 11/25/2023 at 10:22am ***** called me and told me that the owner of this smog place does not want to continue to work with the *** Program and that we'd would have to find another place to go to for the repairs that need to be done. I requested a refund from ***** due to the fact we only did the smog here thinking that they were going to fix the issues as to why our check engine light is on and he told us the owner does not like to issue refunds. We wasted our time and money coming here. We want a refund so our money can go to another place that will need to do the repairs of our vehicle especially after being mislead.
