I was over charged in total board feet for my purchase of lumber. I was sold lumber that was only 3/4 " thickness, my receipt said I purchased boards that were 4/4" thick. I alerted two other employees to the fraudulent transaction and both differed me to the same manager who continued to assert that the board foot total board foot tally on my bill was correct. I alerted the tally checker at the gate to the shortage, and was shown to the same department manager, **********. I left knowing the company failed to remedy the short board foot tally. Much of the lumber being sold there is broken and customers expected to pay for the defective parts, I was told that they refuse to cut a board or trim these bad spots off without the customer paying for the entire piece including the split parts. I was overcharged on lumber that is advertised and listed on the receipt as one inch (4/4") by a total of 25% in a fraudulent manner. The lumber I was sold was no more than 3/4 thickness, and all of the lumber being sold at this location is being incorrectly tallied. My main concern is the shortage of a valuable hardwood commodity such as black walnut. This type of fraud is causing market inflation. I also believe the softwood species are being incorrectly tallied, this has less of an impact on my business. The total amount of advertised 4/4" hardwood lumber I purchased today was 46 board feet billed at $15.68 per B and totaled $721.28 This represents a difference of $180.32 in lumber which I did not receive and for which I was billed extra for. I want to remedy this situation for all of the customers that shop here in the future and correct their pricing in store and on my bill. I have gone to this location twice and moved tonnes of wood each time looking for any 4/4 walnut and keep hurting my back and get really stressed out trying to find what I'm looking for there. I will be seeing a doctor soon for these issues. Thank you for your help in trying to remedy this situation.
