I sat down with the accounting department before my procedure and was told what my portion of the bill would be which I paid at the time of my visit. I recently received an invoice for $314. I called to go over the invoice and they said that I now owe an additional amount. I feel that is not a good way to do business. As many families are we are on a budget and set aside certain amounts for certain things. I budgeted my amount for the procedure and paid that amount in full. I am now told that if I do not pay the remaining balance or open a care card I will be sent to collections. If I would've known that my portion would've been almost $700, I would have waited until I had the funds. I feel that I was mislead and that the dentist office is trying to budget balance and up charge me.
