I received a surprise bill for March 7, 2022 recently. Before I worked with MedPost, I had asked if they were in network with my insurance (Aetna) and they confirmed that they were. I received an out-of-network charge to my insurance a month later and called their billing department, to where they essentially told me not to worry about it as it would be reprocessed. That never happened, and now I have ended up with a $115 surprise bill because of misinformation and misrepresentation.I called MedPost's billing department(s) and the front-office to explain my situation. All three instances I have called, they would get hostile as soon as I share my story with them. They've hung up the phone and scolded me when I was only trying to find a resolution.Since I was unable to find common ground and receive help in a civil way from the facility, I wanted to reach out to BBB for help. I don't believe it is fair to have to pay an excessive amount of money for a mistake on the other party's end. I am filing an appeal with my insurance as well about the issue. Thanks in advance.
