I am writing to dispute a fraudulent TAB/SUNBIT account that was opened on April 27, 2023 with account number ********. This account was opened without my consent, and I have reported this incident of identity theft to IdentityTheft.gov.This fraudulent account has caused harm to my credit score, and I demand its immediate removal. Sunbit/********************************* sent me a Notice of Adverse Action , Application No. ********, for an application for credit I DID NOT MAKE NOR AUTHORIZE from ***** **** OptimEyes on 8/7/2024. I did make a purchase on that day from OptimEyes with my Mastercard. I want this unauthorized access to my personal information investigated as it represents a serious security breach. I have frozen my credit bureau accounts pending resolution of this matter and intend to pursue further. I am writing to formally complain to Sunbit concerning a refund of $500 that was promised to me but has not been provided.On August 13th, I had a dental procedure for which Sunbit provided financing. During this process, I was informed by a Sunbit representative that I would have to put down a downpayment of $500 related to the procedure. Once the procedure was over I would be charged $249.27 monthly. Due to recent financial struggles, I decided against the procedure altogether. When I spoke to someone from Sunbit I was told that because I was not going to proceed with the procedure that I would be provided a refund for the downpayment of $500. However, despite multiple attempts to obtain the refund, I have been repeatedly denied. I have contacted Sunbit on several occasions to resolve this issue, but each time, I have been met with unfulfilled promises and denials. This situation has caused me considerable frustration and inconvenience.I believe that Sunbit's actions in this matter are misleading and unfair. I am requesting that the BBB investigate this issue and assist in resolving this matter by compelling Sunbit to honor their promise and issue the $500 refund that I am entitled to.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I took out a loan from SUNBIT through my dental office ****************************************. Services that were intended to rendered, were not rendered, so I requested to cancel the loan. I requested to cancel the loan with both the merchant and SUNBIT at the end of June 2024, not long after the loan was approved, which was June 17, 2024. This loan is still accruing interest and will cause an impact to my credit score. I have reached out to SUNBIT and notified them that the vendor still has the loan amount sitting idle, and SUNBIT has refused to take action. I have not received any returned phone calls or emails from SUNBIT.Business response
