I called to schedule an appointment with my primary care doctor, and specified that the purpose of my appointment was to get a refill on my medication (dextroamphetamine). I was told that my regular doctor ********************** had retired, so I would see a new doctor who at the medical practice.Upon arrival, I was charged the "new patient" fee of $175, even though I had been a patient at this facility for many years. At this time, the credit card machine did not have ink, and the receipt printed out blank. I then saw the doctor, and he told me that he did not write refills for this type of medicine. He spent about 3 mins with me during this discussion.I then requested a refund, given that the services I requested were not provided. The doctor agreed and told me to see the front desk. The front desk then told me to wait. After a long wait, I was told that they could not issue me a refund.I am requesting a refund because they should have told me *upfront* that this doctor will not write refills for my prescription. The prescription refill was the only reason for my visit.Thank you for reviewing this matter.
