We recognize the importance of resolving your tax issues and would like to outline the actions we have taken on your behalf. Immediately upon engagement, we contacted the *** Revenue Officer and diligently prepared the missing personal tax returns (Form 1040) for the years 2014 through 2021. You informed us that your previous accountant had prepared the corporate tax returns (Form 1120) for 2014-2017. However, we discovered that these corporate returns were unfortunately not filed, which prompted the *** to examine your recently filed personal returns.
During this examination, the *** did not account for any business expenses as they were not reported on the unfiled corporate returns. This oversight led to the assessment of personal tax liabilities for the corresponding years.
We have thoroughly discussed these developments with you, and you have expressed understanding that the complications arose due to the unfiled corporate returns previously handled by another accountant. We appreciate your acknowledgment and want to assure you that we are dedicated to rectifying this situation. Our team is working closely with you to achieve a satisfactory resolution with the ***.
We are committed to supporting you throughout this process and are actively exploring all avenues to address these issues efficiently and effectively. Your cooperation and understanding as we navigate these challenges are greatly appreciated.

I received notice from the *** that I owed a little over 8k in federal taxes for an employement insurance that I paid for through the railroad. It was an insurance policy that I could use if I was ever laidoff or terminated from the railraod. Therefore I should not taxed on it. I hired ****** Bradshaw and paid the 4k to take my case which they told me I had and that they would be able to get this taken care of and that from what they could tell I wouldn't owe anything, That it in fact was an insurance policy and I could not be taxed on it. After four years of them working with the *** they were not able to do anything for me expect for set me up with a payment plan to now pay th 19k I owe to the *** due to interst that has been occcuring on my account. I am now not only out 4k that I paid them but owe the *** an addtional 10k that I would not owe if they would have been honest with me upfront and told me that i didn't have a case.

We take all feedback from our clients seriously, and we appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns raised in this complaint.

Upon receiving the *** notice dated June 28, 2021, regarding an unreported 1099 for approximately $45,000, our client engaged our services to dispute an $18,864 federal tax assessment linked to employment insurance through the railroad. Understanding the unique circumstances of this case, our team believed there was a strong argument that the insurance payments should not be taxable.

In our pursuit of resolving this matter, we submitted a comprehensive response to the ***'s Automated Underreporter (AUR) division. This included a request to consider the $10,704 our client contributed to the insurance fund, arguing these payments were not taxable income. Concurrently, to mitigate further *** scrutiny, we proactively amended the 2019 state, 2020 federal and state tax returns to correct unreported income, thereby aiming to preclude additional examinations.

We successfully secured a waiver for a $3,085 penalty for 2019, demonstrating our commitment to reducing our client's financial burden. However, despite our efforts, the *** concluded the income in question was taxable for 2019. This decision significantly impacted the outcome of our client's case.

The delay in resolving this issue was largely due to extended processing times by the *** for the amended 2020 return, which prevented an immediate resolution for the additional balance owed for that year. We understand that this delay has contributed to the accrued interest and the overall increase in the amount owed to the ***.

We acknowledge Client's frustration with the outcome of their case, especially considering the financial and emotional toll of navigating *** disputes. It was never our intention to mislead Clients regarding the potential success of their case.  *** determinations can sometimes lead to unexpected and unfavorable outcomes, despite well-founded arguments and diligent advocacy.

We are committed to learning from this experience to improve our communication and service. We invite the Client to contact us directly to discuss any further steps that can be taken to assist them in this matter, including exploring any remaining options for addressing their *** obligations.

Our goal is to ensure that all our clients receive transparent, diligent, and effective legal representation. We regret any distress this situation has caused the Client and remain dedicated to resolving our clients' tax disputes to the best of our ability.

I sought help from Anderson Bradshaw Tax Consultants August 8th 2022 with *** issues I was having. I am ******** and in our ******* agreement in 2014 my ex-husband agreed to the income tax from years 2010 and 2011. He has never paid these. Through the years I have spoken with *** trying to find a solution but their stance is that it is a civil matter and they can go after both of us for this money regardless of what the ******* says. I contacted ********* at Anderson Bradshaw and told her I had tried filing for innocent spouse relief from *** in 2018 but it was denied. I also told her I have knowledge that my ex husband forged my name on tax documents in 2016 after we were already ********. ********* told me this was a "slam dunk" and that she was confident we could get innocent spouse relief or at least find a way that I would not have to owe this money to ***. The charge for services was $4000.00. I was very nervous about paying this without some kind of guarantee so that if they were not able to find a viable solution to my problem that I could get my money back. This was written into the contract. I was told by ***** that she would be my main contact and would call me every 2 weeks for updates. She told me she would earn my trust. After the money was paid I heard nothing for almost 2 months. I called ***** and was told she was out on medical leave. At present I have never once heard back from *********. I have left numerous phone and email messages for her, for ***********, for***************** and for************. I was promised a call back from Mr ******* 2 days before Thanksgiving. I have heard nothing. Today I called and the person answering the phone told me my case has been closed. Why would I spend $4000 to only have them get me an agreement to pay the entire amount to ***? I now am entered into some agreement with *** that I NEVER HAD KNOWLEDGE OF, didn't sign anything, and my ex also got the *** letter that I will pay it!!

We signed a contract, and paid, with ***************** Tax Attorneys and were assigned *** ******* as our contact. Their services have become very confusing. We have made numerous requests for written progress reports which have yet to be received. We now are receiving lien letters from the IRS threatening to seize (levy) 15% from our Social Security benefits. This levy has been going on since last year in spite of many calls and emails to *** ******* and others at ******** ********* At this time the IRS says that we owe almost $****** since 2015. Prior to our involvement with A-B we were in a payment plan with the IRS that ended once we signed with A-B. We just need to know exactly what ***************** accomplished on our behalf and we want that information in a detailed written document. Thank You

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/04/12) */ We would be happy to provide you with a detailed breakdown of your case. We understand that there has been questions about the additionally liabilities for 2017. The IRS did an exam on the 2017 self-prepared tax return. Through that exam, they determined that there was unreported income that resulted in an additional $***** owed. So far, our preparation of the 2019 return resulted in a balance owed of $*****, due to not having enough withholdings on the annual earned income. Those balances were not initially due when we took the case on in December of 2019, but we were able to include them in our resolution at no extra charge. We can get the garnishment removed from your Social security and secure an affordable payment plan. We would like to resolve this issue to the best of our abilities, but it cant happen overnight. Not with this government. Please be patient and you'll be all set.
