Contract was signed February 14, 2022 - New piping, master bath and kitchen remodel -- $131,000.00 Change Order #1: signed June 16, 2022 - $47,150.00 Change Order #2: signed June 17, 2022 - $19,092.50 New total for work to be performed: $197,242.50 Work was to begin April 4, 2022 Payments made as of October 5, 2022: $167,242.60 The Business Committed to provide: Complete hot/cold water repiping throughout the house. Remove countertops in kitchen and master bath. Full demo of Master Bath. Remove cabinet faces in kitchen and reface all. Remove a small wall in the kitchen repairing flooring as needed. Build new shower stall in master bath and where tub was located create area for washer/dryer and storage cabinet. Remove all mirror from walls in master bath and kitchen. Change orders altered several of these original commitments: Cabinets were ultimately removed and replaced with new ones in kitchen. Replace 6 front door panels with glass and paint door inside and out. Several electrical changes were made. The nature of this dispute is: From the beginning Progressive Home Remodeling did not do its job in a timely and consistent manner. Project start date was delayed over a week. Initial "estimated" completion date was June 30, 2022 and as of today, October 5, 2022 the project is still incomplete! There have been huge gaps in work - sometimes up to and over a week. Many projects were started and not completed. Communication with the Company was nearly non-existent until I started calling, emailing, texting every day. All I got was excuses, arguments, disagreements and attempts to just ignore me completely. They always refused to honestly and completely answer my questions or explain themselves when asked about the project. It was clear that much of what they said to me were outright lies which lead to further delays and distrust of their integrity. Presently, the CEO now wants me to cancel & contract directly!
