Wheel Chair Express, one of the ONLY transportations that accepts ******************* is consistently late in picking up patients from **************************************, they are also very late (sometimes up to 2 hours late) in pick up and return. Several of our patients wait for their rides outside during this time and cannot get ahold of the company to find out when their ride will be there. Several times residents have had panic attacks at the 2-hour late pick-**** causing dangerously high blood pressures and crying. This is not "once in a while" per the owner ****, its frequent. Also frequent is how often they "lose" transportation requests faxed over. Drivers are often times rude, impatient and rough. Often times I'm told to refax something I've faxed 1-3x or more. The disorganization, lack of follow through and care/concern for the residents they transport affects the resident's well-being and sometimes their health. Owner **** throws it back at the residents, why didnt they do *** etc. He's also been notified several times regarding a specific mutual resident and assured me that they would be placed on a list that would ensure that they were picked up timely. Thats happened 3x now. And as of Saturday resident was left at Dialysis 2 hours later than normal, had high ** upon return and very visibly upset and shaken. Resident states that they feel abandoned by WCE.
